Penalty goal scored by R. van La Parra for Huddersfield Town!
GOAL! van La Parra puts Bournemouth to bed with a low penalty slightly to the right of the goal. This caps off one of the great days of the season for Huddersfield as they will push up to 16th now!
90' +4
Pritchard has just made his final argument for man of the match, he dances through the defence and is brought down by Gosling to win a penalty that will be merely academical, however that doesn't stop a bit of a scrap over who's taking it! The crowd are screaming for Mounie so he can get his third but van La Parra takes the ball...
90' +1
Fantastic from the home crowd here, they've upped the volume once more as they look to support their team right until the final whistle and push them to the end! Bournemouth have continued to try get into threatening areas but it looks to be all but over now. Howe will be upset that his players allowed themselves to go behind twice in the first half and failed to fight back with plenty of time left in the game.
90'
Final stages of the game now, corner for Bournemouth and a powerful shot from Lewis Cook is blocked in the area. Six minutes of time added on mainly due to the aforementioned injury to Mooy.
88'
It's unfortunate that Bournemouth haven't been able to rely on the fire power of Wilson to grab them a goal at any point in this game, he's been well marshalled throughout. Huddersfield have seen off any pressure from the away side in the second half and are unquestionably the better side this afternoon. Man of the match for me today is Mounie, his hold up play has been brilliant and his two goals are ultimately the difference between the two sides. He's closely followed by Mooy, Pritchard and Hogg. It's safe to say Wanger will be over the moon with his players display today!
85'
MIchael Oliver has had a decent game today, he hasn't drawn any attention to himself by delaying play unnecessarily, major decisions have been correct and he's allowed the game to flow well and develop into a great battle.
84'
Some news regarding Aaron Mooy, it seems he has a bad cut to the knee rather than a more serious long-term injury on first impression. Good news for Huddersfield fans.
83'
Good feet from Mousett to cut inside from the right wing, he finds himself in possession once more about 25 yards from goal but his shot is blocked away effectively.
80'
With all due respect to the Cherries, it seems like they've ran out of ideas with ten minutes remaining. Zanka and Schindler had led the resistance for Huddersfield, as Bournemouth's brilliant form has been broken.
77'
There are certainly a few contenders for man of the match so far, Bournemouth have faded too much in the second half for any of their players to be in contention, but Mounie, Mooy, Pritchard and Hogg have all stood out in this game. Pritchard has come off the boil slightly as the game has progressed but he's been working tirelessly off the ball.
Minute
Description
76'
P. Billing enters the game and replaces A. Mooy.
Billing replaces Mooy. The Australian is appluaded by the Huddersfield fans heavily as he's carried off. Important 15 minutes for the young Danish midfield Billing as he'll look to keep things solid in midfield and not allow Bournemouth any cheap chances.
74'
Stoppage in play here as Mooy is down with a knock to his knee. Huddersfield fans and staff alike will be praying it's nothing serious as a host of medical staff are currently surrounding him. It looks like he'll be stretchered off here, hopefully that's a precaution as Huddersfield will not want to be without him! Great performance today with consistent, precise delivery and a shame he couldn't finish the game as he's been a joy to watch.
72'
Inside the last 20 minutes now as Bournemouth will be forced to come out if they want anything from this game, I don't think we're done for goals here just yet! Only time will tell...
Huddersfield have kept it safe at the back in the second half thus far, Zanka in particular has defended confidently.
71'
L. Mousset gets yellow.
Booking for Mousset for throwing the ball away.
70'
A. Smith enters the game and replaces S. Cook.
Steve Cook is off and replaced by Adam Smith, Francis will tuck in at centre back so Smith can push up from the right-back position.
68'
The Terriers are on cloud nine here as they are heading for a crucial three points!
66'
S. Cook is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
THEY'VE DONE IT! Mounie with a calm left-footed finish into the bottom corner, as Mooy picks him out with another sublime delivery, this time playing it along the box for the big striker to stroke home. Steve Cook lost the ball for Bournemouth in the build up there, it'll be a mountain to climb for his side now.
65'
L. Mousset enters the game and replaces J. Stanislas.
C. Quaner enters the game and replaces T. Ince.
Quaner replaces Ince, he'll be ruing that missed opportunity as he makes his way to the bench.
Another change for Bournemouth, Stanislas replaced by Mousset.
61'
CHANCE! Huddersfield really should be two up. Mooy's delivery is sensational once more, he cuts back on the corner of the penalty box and curls in a cross that Ince really should have stuck in the corner!
59'
The home fans continue to get behind their players, the atmosphere has been great so far and the crowd have done everything they can to inject positivity into game.
58'
J. King enters the game and replaces J. Ibe.
King replaces Ibe. No surprise with the incoming subsitution but Ibe looks disappointed to be going off. Bournemouth look to be going to a 4-4-2 formation here.
56'
S. Francis gets yellow.
Nothing comes from the previous corner. Huddersfield regain possesion before Francis chops down van La Parra and earns himself a booking.
55'
Bouremouth need to get hold of the ball and do what they do best here, they've not threatened too much yet in the first ten minutes of the second-half, they've won a corner now though...
52'
T. Kongolo enters the game and replaces S. Malone.
Substitution: Great first half for Scott Malone, but he's replaced by Kongolo, doesn't seem to be any injury but fresh legs might be a good idea. The real question is can Kongolo hack this weather!? He's used to playing in Monaco but here in Huddersfield there's hail now, bouncing loudly onto the roof of the stadium.
51'
Delay in play here as Hadergjonaj is down with a head injury.
49'
Wagner will be looking for Ince and van La Parra to get more involved in this second half, but also for them to help out defensively as Daniels and Fraser will inevitably move higher up the pitch the longer Bournemouth remain behind.
47'
Huddersfield have started the half pressing high, looking to win the ball off Bournemouth in their own half before they can get the ball to their potent attacking trio.
46'
Second half underway here as the sun reappears. Pritchard gets the ball early and fires a left-footed shot wide of the right-hand post, caught it with good power but well wide.
43'
Pritchard has been the best player on the pitch so far. He's been bright in midfield, composed on the ball and shown good range of passing, his confidence increased after nabbing his first goal for Huddersfield, he's been all over the pitch and even ran beyond Mounie at times, who has also been impressive along with Mooy for the home side.
42'
Change in conditions here as the rain starts pelting down!
39'
This is better from the Terriers, they've regained possession and got themselves a throw inside Bournemouth's half.
37'
Huddersfield will be desperate to keep hold of the lead until half-time here, Bournemouth are pushing up the field and the home side are perhaps subconciously dropping back a few too many yards here.
Hogg takes his turn to impress in midfield now with some good passing, unfortunately Hadergjonaj is caught offside so can't play the ball back to him as he made a great run!
35'
Both sides are continuing to play free flowing football as Pritchard continues to impress in midfield, him and Mooy are playing really well with Hogg doing some dirty work for them.
33'
Hadergjonaj's audacious shot from range is deflected out for a corner, Begovic punches out convincingly.
31'
What a chance! Steve Cook almost executes a great finish to top off a rehearsed corner routine as the ball is drilled in low and he fires the ball just wide!
30'
Bournemouth might feel aggrieved due to the free-kick given resulting in Mooy's assist, as Lewis Cook argues he used his shoulder but it looks more like he nudged him in the back, in fairness the referee has got two tough decisions correct so far.
29'
End-to-end stuff here as Lossl collects Ibe's awkward deflected shot without too much trouble.
27'
S. Mounié has scored a goal for Huddersfield Town! Assist by A. Mooy.
Assist Aaron Mooy
2-1 TO THE TERRIERS! Lewis Cook concedes a free-kick out on the left flank, Mooy's delivery is on point once more and Mounie leaps like a salmon to glance it past the keeper! What a game this is!!
24'
Chance! Zanka was still up from the corner and Mooy found him with a searching ball from deep, his header was collected by Begovic, he couldn't generate quite enough power to get it past the line, unlucky!
23'
Corner for Huddersifled as they looked to take advantage of the Cherries high line with a ball over the top, a good tackle from Daniels leads to a corner...
20'
van La Parra loses possession in midfield and Bournemouth look to counter with the trio of Ibe, Stanislas and Wilson. They are looking increasingly dangerous but nothing comes from the attack on this occasion.
18'
D. Gosling gets yellow.
Yellow card: First booking of the game as Gosling is shown the yellow card for tugging down Pritchard about 35 yards from goal.
17'
Bournemouth have once again demonstrated their bouncebackability as they didn't allow conceding an early goal to knock them. They'll be looking to kick on now and get a second!
13'
J. Stanislas has scored a goal for AFC Bournemouth! Assist by R. Fraser.
Assist Ryan Fraser
GOALLLL! Just like that, we're level! Stanislas finds the net after some great build up play from Bournemouth, Fraser whips in a cross from the right wing and Stanislas is in acres of space in the box, he shows great class to stroke a right-footed finish almost nonchalantly into the bottom corner and out of Lossl's reach. Back to the drawing board for Huddersfield!
12'
Despite some mild shouts for offside for the run from Mounie prior to assisting the goal, after a few replays it's fair to say the goal should stand.
10'
The crowd were already behind Huddersfield despite the recent form and early pressure, the atmosphere has just gone up a notch again after that goal! The home team are continuing to maintain possession as Bournemouth now need to bounce back as they did against Stoke.
7'
A. Pritchard has scored a goal for Huddersfield Town! Assist by S. Mounié.
Assist Steve Mounié
GOAL!! Mounie breaks into the box from wide on the left and plays it short to Pritchard, he smashes it home from short range to put the Terriers into the lead! What a way to announce yourself as a new signing! Great left-footed finish to sneak it past Begovic at the near post!
6'
Stop-start few minutes here as Daniels is now down after an aerial challenge with Tom Ince.
4'
Pritchard has started brightly with a few decent touches, as Huddersfield look to get themselves into the game. We'll have a short delay though as Schindler goes down after toppling over Ibe whilst jumping for a header.
2'
Early pressure on the home side here as Ibe whips in a second corner. He'll be hoping to continue his recent burst of form and cause problems for the Huddersfield back line today.
1'
We're off! Bournemouth get us underway here as Stanislas wins an early corner and the Terriers manage to get it clear.
Huddersfield XI (4-2-3-1): Lossl; Hadergjonaj, Zanka, Schindler, Malone; Hogg, Pritchard; Ince, Mooy, van La Parra; Mounie. Huddersfield substitutes: Coleman, Billing, Hefele, Kongolo, Quaner, Sabiri, Williams.
Bournemouth XI (3-4-2-1): Begovic; Francis, S. Cook, Ake; Fraser, L. Cook, Gosling, Daniels; Ibe, Stanislas; Wilson. Bournemouth substitutes: Boruc, Arter, King, Mousset, Simpson, A. Smith, Surman.
Just under 15 minutes to go until kick-off here, as both sides will be looking to gain another three points in their quest to avoid relegation. Huddersfield are in 19th on 24 points so a home win is paramount for the Terriers today. Bournemouth will be slightly more relaxed as they come into the game with good momentum and only nine points from the 40 point landmark.
Teams are out! Just a few minutes until we get going here...
Half-time whistle goes and both sides head down the tunnel. The home side will be delighted to be in front, especially after showing the tenacity to take the lead for a second time in reaction to a stylish Bournemouth equaliser. It'll be tough to top this one in terms of entertainment for the other games today, what a half, more of the same please!
Many will be surprised that Huddersfield have edged the possession so far, as their tactical changes have paid dividends, giving them a deserved half-time lead. The home side have edged it overall but Bournemouth are far from out of this game, Eddie Howe will look to recharge his team as he did last week against Stoke send them out in search of another second-half comeback.
Good morning and welcome to our Live Text Commentary of Huddersfield v Bournemouth. Line-ups to follow...
Massive win for the Terriers! Bournemouth's brilliant run is brought to a halt due to a great performance by a revamped Huddersfield team. They started on the front foot before the away side equalised, but the home side shown great mental strength to score a second and then hold onto their lead convincingly. They seemed to want it that little bit more today and that's paid off.
After poor performances against sides higher in the table, Huddersfield will be proud of themselves today. The tactical changes worked well and Pritchard will likely be a mainstay in the team now. They look a much better side when playing positive football as opposed to sitting back and waiting for opportunities. Eddie Howe will have to accept defeat to the better side on the day, but overall Bournemouth should be safe if they can keep their best players fit and firing.
That's all from us today! A huge win for Huddersfield to take them out of the relegation zone and give their fans some joy heading into Monday! Travelling Cherries fans are likely to be bruised after the lackluster second half, but they had to lose at some point! They'll look to rebuild during a short break and get back to business against Newcastle on the 24th. Huddersfield have given themselves a great boost ahead of a colossal FA Cup tie vs Manchester United next week.
