The visitors kick us off and we are underway!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Europa League round-of-16 second-leg clash between Feyenoord and Shakhtar Donetsk at De Kuip.
The tie is finely poised after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Warsaw, with the Dutch side hoping to utilise home advantage to reach the quarter-finals of this competition for the first time since the 2001-02 season, when they went on to lift the trophy. They are enjoying an impressive campaign, not tasting defeat in their last 19 matches in all competitions to leave them top of the Eredivisie and with a strong chance of picking up silverware.
The visitors are also top of their domestic league, rattling off four straight victories to give them a three-point gap to their closest challengers. They have history in this competition too, beating Werder Bremen in the 2008-09 final to lift their first and only European trophy. Just one victory in their six Champions League group-stage matches saw them drop into the Europa League, but a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over French side Rennes in the play-off round kept their hopes of collecting more European silverware this season alive.
FEYENOORD (4-3-3): Timon Wellenreuther; Lutsharel Geertruida, Gernot Trauner, David Hancko, Marcos Lopez; Mats Wieffer, Sebastian Szymanski, Orkun Kokcu; Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Santiago Gimenez, Oussama Idrissi.
SUBS: Neraysho Kasanwirjo, Mohamed Taabouni, Tein Troost, Danilo, Ofir Marciano, Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, Ezequiel Bullaude, Javairo Dilrosun, Igor Paixao, Jacob Rasmussen, Antoni Milambo.
SUBS: Danylo Sikan, Ivan Petryak, Andriy Pyatov, Kevin Kelsy, Neven Durasek, Lucas Taylor, Marian Farina, Yaroslav Rakitskiy, Dmytro Topalov, Yehor Nazaryna, Oleksiy Shevchenko, Oleh Ocheretko.
The two teams make their way onto the pitch ahead of this vital Europa League clash.
Jovicevic's side look to have little chance of staging a dramatic comeback, but if they are, they must conjure up more of an attacking threat having not registered a shot on target so far in this second leg.
Shakhtar will now turn their attentions back to their domestic duties after crashing out of Europe, hosting Rukh Vynnyky on Sunday as they look to get their season back on track. For Feyenoord, they can now look forward to the quarter-final draw on Friday to find out who stands between them and the final four.
Thanks for joining us for Feyenoord's 7-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the second leg of their Europa League round-of-16 clash at De Kuip. Goodbye!
