K. De Bruyne has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by R. Mahrez.
GOOAAAAL! DE BRUYNE HAS HIS GOAL! It's 7-0, and it's a brilliant strike! Mahrez puts Gvardiol on the back foot with a driving run inside before picking out De Bruyne outside the area. The Belgian shifts the ball to his right foot 25 yards from goal, before whipping a terrific shot into the top-right corner! That is absolutely top-class!
Mahrez has been lively since entering the action, and he gets the assist after cutting inside to find De Bruyne. All the credit should go to the midfielder, however. What a finish!
90' +1
De Bruyne is still looking for a seventh goal, charging towards the area but only meeting a wall of Leipzig bodies. Mahrez then does likewise, but the visitors repel the pressure.
90'
The officials have added on just two minutes of stoppage time, which appears incredibly merciful towards Leipzig!
88'
Haaland is currently all smiles with his City team-mates on the bench. He now has a remarkable 39 goals in all competitions this campaign, after putting Leipzig to the sword in the first hour.
87'
Raum is back on his feet and able to walk gingerly from the field. Leipzig get the game restarted, and their left-back soon re-enters the action.
84'
Raum goes down inside his own six-yard box and receives treatment from the Leipzig medical staff. The left-back was caught by his own goalkeeper as both men tried to stop Akanji meeting a deep cross at the far post.
83'
Mahrez stretches to keep the ball in play on the right before turning Raum inside out. The full-back recovers to poke the ball out for a corner… which Blaswich punches away at the second attempt.
82'
The corner is long, but City get a second chance to cross and Akanji is there to meet it… but his tame header is straight at the goalkeeper!
81'
De Bruyne sees a cross deflect and drop loose inside the Leipzig area, with Alvarez getting there first to fire at goal. It's blocked at close range, and City get a corner. They have already scored three from these situations...

Description
80'
L. Klostermann enters the game and replaces B. Henrichs.
Leipzig use their final substitution. Klostermann comes on for Henrichs at right-back.
78'
Leipzig lift the resultant free-kick into a crowded penalty area, but De Bruyne is there to clear. While Haaland was undoubtedly the star of the show, he has also been outstanding in this match.
77'
M. Akanji gets yellow.
City lose the ball and Olmo launches a counter-attack, with Akanji diving in to bring him down 35 yards from goal. That challenge earns the defender a yellow card.
76'
City are toying with Leipzig now, keeping the ball comfortably at the back without really forcing the issue.
74'
Olmo trips Gomez in midfield. The City substitute is moving inside from a left-back position, mirroring what Stones did from the right earlier on, with Ake shifting inside to partner Dias.
72'
Dani Olmo enters the game and replaces D. Szoboszlai.
Foden darts onto a ball in behind and tries to stand up a cross, but it deflects into the arms of Blaswich. The Leipzig goalkeeper has made seven saves in this game, but they have counted for little against a rampant home side.
Leipzig make another change as Olmo replaces Szoboszlai, who like all the visitors' attacking players, has been quiet.
70'
The pace of the game has dropped since that raft of substitutions for both sides. Leipzig won't mind that as they attempt to salvage a slither of pride. Foden and Gomez link up on the City left, but the visitors force them back.
67'
K. De Bruyne gets yellow.
De Bruyne is felled on the right. The City man should have had a free-kick, and he reacts angrily. The referee books him for dissent – as he did Werner in the first half.
66'
Leipzig will be mightily relieved to see Haaland leave the field, but with a World Cup winner in Alvarez joining the in-form Foden and the tricky Mahrez in City's attack, their suffering may not be over!
64'
Sergio Gómez enters the game and replaces J. Stones.
K. Phillips enters the game and replaces Rodri.
Gomez will get an outing in the City backline, taking Stones' place as Akanji shifts over to right-back.
63'
M. Simakan enters the game and replaces A. Haidara.
J. Álvarez enters the game and replaces E. Haaland.
Phillips also enters the fray, replacing Rodri in midfield.
Werner will also make way, with Poulsen taking his place.
City respond with their own treble change. Haaland's number is up, and he gets a standing ovation after an incredible display of finishing. The striker may not like it, but he gets a well-earned rest, with Alvarez coming on.
Both sides are readying changes now. Andre Silva replaces Forsberg in the Leipzig attack.
Finally, Simakan replaces Haidara in Rose's third substitution.
62'
André Silva enters the game and replaces E. Forsberg.
Y. Poulsen enters the game and replaces T. Werner.
59'
With City 7-1 up on aggregate, you would think withdrawing Haaland may cross Guardiola's mind. No player has ever scored six goals in a Champions League game, however, and he will be desperate to make another piece of history!
57'
E. Haaland has scored a goal for Manchester City!
GOAAAAL! HAALAND GETS A FIFTH FOR 6-0! THIS IS REMARKABLE! Another right-wing corner is turned goalwards by Akanji, and the luckless Blaswich dives to his right to tip it away from goal. Just as he was four minutes ago, however, Haaland is on hand to power it home! Five for Haaland, six for City, and how many more could the striker add to his tally here?
56'
Blaswich is pressed into an error by Haaland, but City are just unable to keep the attack alive. That is tremendous hunger from the striker, who has a four-goal haul and looks desperate to add to it!
55'
P. Foden enters the game and replaces J. Grealish.
R. Mahrez enters the game and replaces İ. Gündoğan.
Mahrez, meanwhile, replaces Gundogan.
City opt to ring the changes with a spot in the last eight certainly assured. Foden is on for Grealish.
53'
E. Haaland has scored a goal for Manchester City!
GOAAAAL! HAALAND HAS FOUR, AND CITY HAVE FIVE! The hosts are running riot! De Bruyne's corner is headed back across goal by Dias, and Haaland draws a fine stop from Blaswich with a close-range header. Akanji fails to turn it home, but Haaland steadies himself to power a volley into the net! What a performance from the Norwegian.
52'
De Bruyne makes a textbook run into the right-hand channel and flashes a cross to the near post, where Orban almost diverts it into his own net with a desperate slide. The first corner comes to nothing, but Laimer concedes another.
50'
City hammered Leipzig 6-3 in the Champions League group stage last season. The visitors must be fearing the worst here...
49'
İ. Gündoğan has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by J. Grealish.
Grealish gets his first goal contribution in the Champions League this season with the final ball into Gundogan. That was a brilliant team goal, and everyone involved deserves credit.
GOAAAL! GUNDOGAN GETS THE FOURTH! It's vintage City as a flowing move starting with Ederson ends with a brilliant finish from Gundogan. Ederson pings a ball out to Bernardo Silva, with he and De Bruyne playing neat passes around the corner as the ball worked its way to Gundogan. The German checks onto his left foot on the edge of the box, and drills into the bottom-right corner! 4-0!
46'
Leipzig kick us off for the second half, with no changes made at the break. It's surely a matter of damage limitation for Rose's men from here…
45' +3
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 3-0 RB LEIPZIG
45' +2
E. Haaland has scored a goal for Manchester City!
GOAAAAAL! HAALAND HAS HIS HAT-TRICK BEFORE HALF-TIME! 3-0! What a half Haaland has enjoyed here, and he has yet another treble! Dias meets De Bruyne's corner with a powerful header, which crashes against the right-hand post and rolls along the goal line, before Haaland bundles it over. Haaland goes over to credit Dias, but replays show the ball did not cross the line until the Norwegian touched it, it's a third for the striker!
45'
We're into two minutes of added time as De Bruyne sees a left-wing cross powered behind by Orban. City will have a corner.
43'
Ake gets up on the overlap to drive a low cross towards Haaland, but Orban just does enough to get there first! Werner then leads a Leipzig break, but he has no support as he attempts a cut-back.
42'
Bernardo Silva gets into the area with a jinking run and looks set to bend a shot towards goal… but he overruns it and Leipzig can clear. City have been so threatening on that right flank.
40'
We're into the final five minutes of a thrilling first half, and City appear to have regained control following a chaotic couple of moments, in which Ederson was almost rounded by Laimer and Rodri nearly gifted the visitors a goal.
36'
Now Grealish charges into the Leipzig box and goes over. The visitors are furious, suggesting he dived. City won't get a penalty for that, but the referee has also opted against booking Grealish.
34'
T. Werner gets yellow.
Werner is booked for dissent following that incident, having protested Ederson's lack of punishment.
32'
Leipzig are all at sea now as Orban shoves Grealish, giving City a free-kick near the corner flag on the left. De Bruyne swings it in… but Blaswich parries it behind for a corner. City are utterly dominant here.
29'
Amid the madness, Leipzig still appear irritated by the decision to award City's penalty. It did look harsh. Henrichs' arm was outstretched, but he had his back to the play and was hit from close range!
26'
Leipzig look stunned, and the Etihad is rocking! Haaland has given City a 3-1 aggregate lead, and it's a long way back for the Bundesliga side now!
24'
E. Haaland has scored a goal for Manchester City!
GOAAAAAAAL! HAALAND HAS ANOTHER! 2-0! What a spell this is for City as Haaland nods in his second in under two minutes! City win the ball back from Blaswich's long kick and attack through De Bruyne, who unleashes a spectacular left-footed shot from range. It crashes against the crossbar, but Haaland is on hand to head into an empty net!
22'
Penalty goal scored by E. Haaland for Manchester City!
GOAAAL! HAALAND CONVERTS! 1-0! The Norwegian looked confident as he took a short run-up, and he dispatches the spot-kick expertly into the bottom-right corner. Blaswich went the right way but had no chance! Haaland has 35 goals in all competitions for the season!
21'
B. Henrichs gets yellow.
Henrichs is booked for that handball, and Haaland has the chance to give City the lead from the penalty spot!
17'
City's corner from the right comes to nothing, but De Bruyne is on hand to win the ball back, and the hosts can build again.
16'
Great football from City! Grealish and Ake link up on the left flank, with the latter cutting back for De Bruyne. The Belgian spots Grealish's run into the box and cushions a lovely ball towards him, and his right-footed shot deflects over!
14'
Ederson holds on! Better from Leipzig as Szoboszlai finds Raum on the overlap. The left-back has space to dig out a cross, but its too close to Ederson, who gets down to claim it.
13'
Guardiola will feel his side should already be two goals up. Both Gundogan and Haaland will be disappointed they haven't found an early breakthrough, but Blaswich showed strong reactions to deny Haaland there!
10'
Gundogan looks to pick out Grealish with a clever return pass into the box, but Henrichs cuts it out. City are, as you would expect, dominating possession and asking questions already.
6'
City work an attack on the left this time, with Grealish finding space for a cross… which only finds Gvardiol. The Croatian's clearance is awkward, but it gets the job done.
5'
Leipzig have started bravely, pushing high in and out of possession. However, they've already come close to being caught out twice on the right – they need to keep an eye on the runs of De Bruyne.
4'
City attack down the right once again, winning a corner. It's lifted onto the head of Stones, who is as free as a bird inside the penalty area, but he can only nod it into a crowd of Leipzig defenders, who clear.
2'
Leipzig launch the first attack of the game through Werner on the left, but City swiftly recover and the Germany international is forced to check back.

After the famous Champions League music attracts the usual boos at the Etihad, City get the ball rolling!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the second leg of Manchester City's Champions League last-16 tie against RB Leipzig from the Etihad Stadium!
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City continue their bid for a first European crown, having been pegged back in a 1-1 draw at Leipzig in last month's first leg. The hosts have been in fine domestic form since that stalemate, winning four successive games and only conceding one goal. In the Champions League, they are unbeaten in 23 home matches, winning 21, and they are strong favourites to reach the last eight.
Leipzig, meanwhile, have posted two wins and one defeat in the Bundesliga since Josko Gvardiol cancelled out Riyad Mahrez's goal in their home meeting with City. Marco Rose's men are currently enjoying a five-match unbeaten run in the Champions League (W4 D1) – their longest such sequence since a run of seven without defeat took them to the semi-finals in 2019-20. They will need a huge performance to progress here, however.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3): Ederson; John Stones, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake; Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan; Bernardo Silva, Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish.
MANCHESTER CITY SUBS: Stefan Ortega, Scott Carson, Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips, Aymeric Laporte, Julian Alvarez, Sergio Gomez, Riyad Mahrez, Maximo Perrone, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis.
RB LEIPZIG (4-2-3-1): Janis Blaswich; Benjamin Henrichs, Willi Orban, Josko Gvardiol, David Raum; Amadou Haidara, Konrad Laimer; Dominik Szoboszlai, Kevin Kampl, Emil Forsberg; Timo Werner.
Haaland has now scored five hat-tricks in his debut campaign with City, three more than any other player in Europe's top five leagues this term. His finishing has surely doomed Leipzig to a Champions League exit, but the likes of De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva have also been outstanding. If Guardiola's men put their foot down, there could be more goals to come!
City's 7-0 victory is the joint-best in their Champions League history, alongside a win over Schalke by the same scoreline in March 2019, while Haaland has joined Robert Lewandowski as just the second player to net 10 or more Champions League goals in a single season for two different clubs, doing so with Dortmund and City. With Guardiola's attack in this kind of form, nobody will want to play City in the last eight.
We hope you've enjoyed our coverage of an Erling Haaland masterclass at the Etihad. That's all from us, we'll see you next time!
