Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of this Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and FC Koln at Allianz Arena.
Bayern came into this midweek sitting five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table and guaranteed to finish the first half of the season in first place. In 15 of the last 16 seasons when this has happened, the Bavarians have gone on to win the league, but the 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig last time out showed they can't take their current position for granted.
Koln's surprise 7-1 thrashing of Werder Bremen last time out marked their biggest Bundesliga win since May 1990. It's unlikely that Steffen Baumgart's men will find things as easy against the might of Bayern, especially away where they've lost their last four games on the bounce. Let's see what happens!
SUBS: Daley Blind, Marcel Sabitzer, Kingsley Coman, Josip Stanisic, Ryan Gravenberch, Sven Ulreich, Mathys Tel, Thomas Müller, Paul Wanner.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-2-3-1): Yann Sommer; Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich (c), Leon Goretzka; Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry; Eric Choupo-Moting.
SUBS: Davie Selke, Kingsley Schindler, Dejan Ljubicic, Tim Lemperle, Eric Martel, Timo Horn, Justin Diehl, Sargis Adamyan, Elias-Geoffrey Bakatukanda.
FC KOLN (4-2-3-1): Marvin Schwabe; Benno Schmitz, Nikola Soldo, Julian Chabot, Jonas Hector (c); Denis Huseinbasic, Ellyes Skhiri; Linton Maina, Mathias Olesen, Florian Kainz; Steffen Tigges.
Bayern need to work on their finishing, then, but they'll be glad they managed to save some face. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Bayern's second consecutive draw means their Bundesliga lead has been cut to four points after Leipzig's 6-1 win away to Schalke. The Bavarians had 25 shots to Koln's three overall but relied on Kimmich to bail them out of trouble, which will concern Nagelsmann. The draw lifts Koln into the top half of the table. They can be proud of their display.
