Hello and welcome to the live commentary for the Premier League clash between Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest.
Since drawing with Fulham in the middle of October, Bournemouth have dropped from ninth to 17th place in the Premier League. Gary O'Neil’s side have lost eight of their last nine games, with their only win coming against Everton. Failing to score in their previous four matches, Bournemouth are just one point above the regelation zone and will move into the bottom three if they lose today. However, the home side will be encouraged by their form against Forest, winning four of the last five league encounters. In the reverse fixture, Bournemouth came from behind to win 3-2 at the City Ground.
BOURNEMOUTH (4-4-2): Neto; Adam Smith, Jack Stephens, Lloyd Kelly, Jordan Zemura; Ryan Christie, Joe Rothwell, Jefferson Lerma, Jaidon Anthony; Dango Ouattara, Kieffer Moore.
BOURNEMOUTH SUBS: Mark Travers, Chris Mepham, Jack Stacey, Siriki Dembele, Ben Pearson, Marcos Senesi, Euan Pollock, Dominic Said, Daniel Adu-Adjei.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST SUBS: Jordan Smith, Steve Cook, Neco Williams, Jack Colback, Jesse Lingard, Sam Surridge, Scott McKenna, Danilo, Gustavo Scarpa.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST (4-3-1-2): Wayne Hennessey; Serge Aurier, Joe Worrall, Willy Boly, Renan Lodi; Ryan Yates, Remo Freuler, Orel Mangala; Morgan Gibbs-White; Brennan Johnson, Chris Wood.
As for Forest, they will be coming into the game full of confidence after securing back-to-back Premier League wins. Collecting their first away league victory against Southampton, they then beat rivals Leicester City thanks to a brace from Brennan Johnson. Bottom of the league at the start of October, Steve Cooper’s team are now five points clear of the drop zone. Losing just three of their last 11 games, a win today will put them on the same points as Crystal Palace, who play later today.
After a slow start, Bournemouth have been excellent and deserve their lead. Attacking with pace, Lodi and Aurier have struggled with the dribbling ability of Ouattara and Anthony, with the wingers regularly getting beyond the full-backs. Making his debut, Ouattara has been the best player on the pitch. Playing with intensity, he has been in the middle of every Bournemouth attack and is the main reason why they have the lead. As for Forest, Gibbs-White has been instrumental. His corners and free-kicks have been superb, with Forest unlucky not to have scored. Leading the attack, Johnson and Wood must do more.
That's all for today, goodbye.
Next up, Bournemouth travel to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League with Forest hosting Manchester United in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg.
