The game has settled into a rather subdued affair here. Although, just as I type that, Carrasco finds himself in a threatening position on the left and wins Atletico another corner.

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the LaLiga meeting between Deportivo Alaves and Atletico Madrid.
The hosts have made a solid start to their campaign and sit 13th with 18 points from 16 games. Last time out they picked up a point away to Osasuna but return home where they have only lost twice this season. Pablo Machin’s side drew in the same fixture last season so should approach this contest with a degree of confidence.
However, their opponents are flying this season. Atletico sit second in the table just one point behind city rivals Real Madrid but have three games in hand. Diego Simeone’s side beat Getafe 1-0 in their previous outing with Luis Suarez notching the only goal in what was their third win in a row. Even at this early stage, it’s beginning to look like a two-horse race for the title, so every point counts.
DEPORTIVO ALAVES (4-4-2): Fernando Pacheco; Martin Aguirregabiria, Victor Laguardia, Florian Lejeune, Javi Lopez; Edgar Mendez, Rodrigo Battaglia, Manu Garcia, Borja Sainz; Jota, Deyverson.
DEPORTIVO ALAVES SUBS: Ximo Navarro, Ruben Duarte, Luis Rioja, Antonio Sivera, Burgui, Tomas Tavares, John Guidetti, Adrian Marin, Tachi, Joselu, Lucas Perez.
ATLETICO MADRID (3-5-2): Jan Oblak; Jose Gimenez, Felipe, Mario Hermaso; Sime Vrsaljko, Marcos Llorente, Koke, Thomas Lemar, Yannick Carrasco; Luis Suarez, Angel Correa.
ATLETICO MADRID SUBS: Miguel San Roman, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Sergio Camello, Lucas Torreira, Saul Niguez, Manuel Sanchez, Ricard Sanchez, Vitolo, Ivan Saponjic, Renan Lodi, Ivo Grbic, Joao Felix.
The goal will give the visitors a huge boost at the break as they were struggling to break down the hosts. However, the game is far from over as, despite not registering a shot in the opening 45 minutes, Alaves did get into promising positions on occasion so will believe they can get back into it while the deficit remains one.
That's a big three points for Atletico who return to the top of the table, two points clear of Real Madrid with two games in hand. They take on Athletic Bilbao next as they look to stretch their lead at the top. For Alaves, they remain 13th and face 11th-placed Cadiz next who sit just a point above them in the table.
Anyway, that's all from me today. I hope you enjoyed following our live text coverage. Until next time, goodbye!
