Hello and welcome to live commentary of this international friendly between Netherlands and Mexico. While this game doesn’t initially seem to have much riding on it, there is actually plenty of importance for the hosts. New manager, Frank de Boer takes charge of his first game today after replacing Ronald Koeman who left for Barcelona recently – and, naturally, he’ll be desperate to kick off with victory.
Meanwhile, this is a rare opportunity for Mexico to measure themselves against world-class opposition after a run of six straight victories since losing to Argentina a year ago.
SUBS: Rodolfo Cota, Nestor Araujo, Gerardo Arteaga, Luis Romo, Jorge Sanchez, Gilberto Sepulveda, Jonathan Dos Santos, Omar Govea, Diego Lainez, Orbelin Pineda, Henry Martin, Alan Pulido.
NETHERLANDS: Tim Krul; Hans Hateboer, Stefan De Vrij, Virgil Van Dijk, Owen Wijndal; Georginio Wijnaldum, Donny Van De Beek, Teun Koopmeiners; Steven Berghuis, Memphis Depay, Ryan Babel.
The players are emerging from the tunnel and kick off is just seconds away!
As it's a friendly, you'd imagine there'll be a glut of substitutions as the second half progresses with both teams experimenting ahead of important games.
MEXICO: Alfredo Talavera; Jesus Gallardo, Edson Alvarez, Cesar Montes, Luis Rodriguez; Hector Moreno, Andres Guardado, Hector Herrera; Rodolfo Pizarro, Raul Jimenez, Jesus Corona.
That's all for now though, goodbye!
The result means that De Boer starts his time in charge of the Netherlands with defeat, but they'll be looking to bounce back quickly against Bosnia next week.
