L. Suárez has scored a goal for Barcelona! Assist by L. Messi.
What more can be said about this man? Already sitting on a 50th career hat-trick, Messi sets up Suarez with an impressive lofted pass. Barcelona have left it late to turn on the style but turn on the style they have.
GOOOAAALLL!!! SEVILLA 2-4 BARCELONA! Suarez puts the game out of Sevilla's reach and ends his goal drought in the process. Alena passes to Messi and the scorer of Barcelona's other three goals lifts the ball into the path of Suarez, who does likewise by looping it over Vaclik.
90' +2
Four minutes have been added on at the end of this gripping match, half of which have already been played with little incident. Sevilla win a free-kick in a deep position and Messa curls it into the middle, but a visiting player gets to it first.
90'
Roque Mesa gets yellow.
Messa tangled with Busquets, sending his opponent to the ground, and is shown a yellow card by the referee.
88'
The ball is knocked down into the path of Vazquez and the Sevilla attacker hooks an awkward shot over the crossbar. The home side are putting the visitors under plenty of pressure now as we enter the final couple of minutes.
86'
Alena deserves a lot of praise for that third Messi goal as he won the ball for his side and inadvertently set up his team-mate with his blocked shot.
85'
L. Messi has scored a goal for Barcelona!
GOOOOAAALLL!!! SEVILLA 2-3 BARCELONA! Messi rescues Barcelona with what is surely a late winner. Roberto runs onto a return pass down the right. It is worked to Alena on the edge of the box and the substitute's shot deflects off Kjaer and lands for Messi to clip over Vaclik in trademark fashion to complete his hat-trick.
84'
There is no real rhythm to Barcelona's play. It has been a little stop-start from the visitors today in what has been another below-par showing. Sevilla manager Machin has been told to calm down by the referee as we approach the final five minutes.
83'
Pablo Sarabia gets yellow.
Sarabia, who has had far less of an influence in this second half, is booked after catching Alba's face with his hand.
82'
A deep free-kick is lifted into the box and is easily dealt with by the home side. Barcelona are refusing to give up possession of the ball as they patiently probe away in search of a winning goal. You would certainly not bet against them finding it.
Minute
Description
80'
S. Kjær gets yellow.
Kjaer is cautioned for a foul on Messi. The Barcelona forward knocks the ball past his opponent and Kjaer is just too slow with his feet.
79'
Carles Aleñá enters the game and replaces Philippe Coutinho.
Valverde turns to his bench for the third and final time today by bringing on Alena for Coutinho.
78'
SAVE! Messi, once again, is left in space on the edge of the box and sends a shot down the middle for Vaclik to help over the crossbar.
77'
This is turning into a game of chess now. Barcelona, who are about to make their third and final change, are standing off and positioning themselves for the counter. The visitors will surely go all-out attack in the final stages.
76'
This will still be considered two points dropped for Barcelona, even if they did trail on two occasions. Sevilla are enjoying a good spell now, with a drilled cross from the right being blocked by Umtiti. Machin clearly intends to twist, rather than stick with the point.
74'
Banega gets a shot away from the edge of the box, which is well blocked. Sevilla have managed two shots on target today, both of those coming in the first half and both ending with the ball in the back of the net. The message is clear - get at the opposition as they are there for the taking.
72'
NEARLY A HAT-TRICK FOR MESSI! Messi cuts inside from the left and curls the ball inches over the crossbar. All the momentum is with Barcelona now - can Sevilla hold them off for the next 20 minutes?
70'
F. Vázquez gets yellow.
Vazquez catches Busquets with a late challenge and is shown a yellow card by the referee.
69'
Which way will this game swing next? Sevilla have been punished for dropping too deep, though that Barcelona leveller did noticeably come immediately after the hosts had put together a rare attack.
67'
L. Messi has scored a goal for Barcelona! Assist by O. Dembélé.
Dembele is applauded by Messi for the assist. Not the toughest of passes, in truth, with Messi deserving of the credit for guiding the shot into an area of the goal that Vaclik could not reach.
GOOOOOAAALLL!!! SEVILLA 2-2 BARCELONA! Messi doubles his personal tally to level the score for the second time today. Vacklik's clearance is poor and seven touches later the ball is in the back of his net. Rakitic carries the mishit clearance towards the edge of the box and plays it to his right, where Dembele is waiting to pull it back for Messi to do the rest. Sticking with the theme of the game, it is a lovely finish into the top corner.
66'
Sevilla do not really look interested in attacking now, instead focusing on keeping their opponents out. Alba is left in some space down the left, but he passes the ball straight to an opposition player in the box.
65'
Suarez turns the ball on target but it is a straightforward save Vaclik, who has not had a great deal to do since Sevilla edged 2-1 in front.
64'
Sevilla, given a bit of a let-off by that penalty appeal from Suarez coming to nothing, are being pushed further and further back. Barcelona need to start turning possession into shots on target.
62'
Roque Mesa enters the game and replaces M. Rog.
Rog makes way for Mesa as Suarez's penalty protests go on.
60'
There has not been a lot of action since Dembele wasted that glorious chance five minutes ago. Sevilla have taken the sting out of the game and they are looking quite comfortable at the moment.
58'
I. Amadou enters the game and replaces M. Wöber.
Amadou is brought on for Wober in the home side's second change. The makeshift left-back has performed well, but he has picked up a knock and has to make way.
57'
M. Wöber gets yellow.
Wober is shown a yellow card by the referee and it appears as though he is about to make way for Sevilla.
56'
Messi's shot takes a wicked deflection off Navas and nearly loops up and over Vaclik. However, the Sevilla keeper manages to pluck the ball out of the air before it reaches the top corner.
53'
Nearly 10 minutes of the second half played and Barcelona have not really offered a lot since the restart. The home side look as though they are going to play the remainder of the match with five across the back.
51'
F. Vázquez enters the game and replaces G. Mercado.
Machin reacts to Valverde's tactical switch by bringing on Vazquez for Mercado. The home side have been penned in a little over the last couple of minutes.
49'
M. Rog gets yellow.
Rog brings down Busquets and joins Pique in being shown a yellow card.
48'
A Navas cross from the right is blocked by Alba before Mercado thumps the loose ball over the crossbar. Sevilla claim that the cross hit Alba's arm, but the referee waves away the appeals.
47'
It looks as though Valverde is going with a 4-2-3-1 formation following the introduction of Dembele for Vidal. Suarez, who has not offered a great deal today, will spearhead the attack.
46'
Sergi Roberto enters the game and replaces Nélson Semedo.
O. Dembélé enters the game and replaces A. Vidal.
Valverde makes a double change at the break. The first of those alterations comes at right-back as Roberto is on for Semedo.
Dembele is also introduced in place of Vidal, so we could see a bit of a tactical reshuffle.
Sevilla, looking to protect a one-goal lead, get us back underway here!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: SEVILLA 2-1 BARCELONA
44'
ANOTHER SEVILLA CHANCE! Promes swings the ball towards the back post and Kjaer, one of two Sevilla players waiting for the delivery, heads the ball over the crossbar. Not an easy one, by any means, but the centre-back will feel that he could have done a little better from that range.
42'
G. Mercado has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by Pablo Sarabia.
Sarabia did not give up on a pass that was slightly overhit towards the byline. His reward is an assist thanks to Mercado's steered finish past Ter Stegen.
GOOOOAAALLL!!! SEVILLA 2-1 BARCELONA! Sevilla retake the lead through another impressive finish, this time from Mercado. Ter Stegen's clearance is headed back up the field and Barca are unable to set themselves. Sarabia gets in behind and pulls the ball back to the edge of the six-yard box, where Mercado is waiting to steer it across Ter Stegen into the far corner.
41'
The tempo has dropped just a little over the last couple of minutes, which is not a great surprise going by the previous 39 minutes or so. Sevilla turn over possession, not for the first time today, but Roj's through-ball for Sarabia is too heavy and Ter Stegen collects.
39'
Half-time is fast approaching at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and there is not a great deal between the sides. The scoreline reflects what we have seen so far - both teams have had chances and both teams have registered a goal. Can either side find a second before the interval?
38'
Piqué gets yellow.
Pique grabs hold of Ben Yedder and becomes the first player to enter the referee's book.
36'
HAMMERED OVER! Barcelona are seeing far more of the ball than their opponents, but Sevilla look dangerous whenever they get forward. Promes chases down a ball over the top and spots some hesitancy from Ter Stegen, but his powerful shot from a slight angle ends high over the bar.
34'
Messi attempts to feed the ball through for Suarez, but his team-mate is seemingly blocked off the ball by Mercado. Not according to the referee, though, as the decision goes the other way.
32'
The opening half an hour of this match has flown by. Sevilla have enjoyed some bright moments and opened the scoring through Navas' breakaway goal, but Messi equalised a few minutes later with an accurate volley.
30'
CHANCE FOR PIQUE! Barca centre-back Pique is the visitors' most advanced player. He attempts to cut inside Gomez but the Sevilla defender gets a toe to the ball before his opponent can strike it in on target. Had that been Messi left in space it would have been a different story.
28'
That really was a sublime volley from Messi. Sevilla have played some good football today and, despite relinquishing their lead, they are back on top. Sarabia tries to make something happen but the ball ricochets off his leg and loops over Ter Stegen's crossbar.
26'
L. Messi has scored a goal for Barcelona! Assist by I. Rakitić.
Rakitic drifted out to the left-hand flank and saw Messi in a bit of space in the box. A nice assist but an even better finish from the Barcelona forward.
GOOOOAAAALLL!!! SEVILLA 1-1 BARCELONA! Four minutes after falling behind, the league leaders draw themselves back on level terms. Rakitic's cross from the left is aimed in the direction of Messi, and the forward punishes Sevilla for being given time and space in the box by volleying the ball past Vacklik. What a finish that is!
24'
VIDAL COMES CLOSE! Barcelona have responded well to the setback. A cross from the left is met well by the head of Vidal, who cannot quite get the better of Vaclik. It was aimed far too close to the Sevilla goalkeeper.
22'
Jesús Navas has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by W. Ben Yedder.
GOOOOAAALLL!!! SEVILLA 1-0 BARCELONA! Navas opens the scoring for the home side, rounding off a swift three-against-two counter with a clinical finish. Messi gives the ball away 20 yards from the Sevilla goal and Ben Yedder, having carried the ball half the length of the pitch, plays in Navas for a sweeping finish past Ter Stegen.
This is brilliant decision-making from Ben Yedder. He had options either side of him and chose the right one by slotting it to his right, giving Navas a clean shot on goal.
21'
Barcelona have seen 63 per cent of the ball but Sevilla have created the better openings. Semedo is forced back and plays the ball to Ter Stegen, who refuses the launch it up the field. The visitors are looking, as ever, to build from the back.
20'
CHANCE! This is pretty much the best opportunity either side has created in the opening quarter of the game. Some quick passing between Promes and Ben Yedder catches Barca out, but the latter's shot from inside the box hits Umtiti and goes behind.
18'
Poor from Sarabia, who hits the wall with what appears to be a shot.
17'
Ben Yedder is fouled by Pique and Sevilla have the chance to either shoot at goal or cross it into the box from 20 yards. The home fans are annoyed, though, as they wanted the referee to play advantage.
16'
Rakitic carries the ball a good 20 yards and picks out Suarez, who delays the shot and is not given a second chance to have a pop. Messi, rather disappointingly, clips the ball through to Sevilla goalkeeper Vaclik to end the attack.
14'
Busquets tries to send a lofted through-ball into the path of Messi, but he gets too much on it and the ball goes out of play. Kjaer is doing well to keep Messi quiet so far.
13'
Suarez is working the flanks well. The striker has his heels clipped by Mercado when cutting in from the left, having also been tripped on the opposite flank a minute or so beforehand.
11'
Messi pulls the trigger from the edge of the box but the ball strikes a Sevilla player 15 yards from goal.
10'
Sarabia attempts to break clear but Semedo drags him back and a free-kick is awarded. The Barcelona defender is given a talking to by the referee Antonio Miguel Mateu Lahoz.
6'
There is a slight breakdown in communication between Vaclik and Wober, but the latter clears the ball and that is all that matters. Barca are building some momentum early on.
5'
Messi's free-kick is cleared before Pique can get on the end of it. Some good movement from Suarez leads to the visiting side winning a corner.
4'
Barcelona have seen plenty of the ball since that early scare that saw Promes come close. Vidal is caught by Roj and the referee, after receiving word from one of his fellow officials, awards the visitors a free-kick in a dangerous crossing position.
2'
GREAT PLAY! Sevilla almost make an early breakthrough as Banega's first-time cross from the left is side-footed on target by Promes, but Ter Stegen reacts quickly to make the save. The offside flag was correctly raised, though, so it would not have counted anyway.

Defending champions Barcelona get this LaLiga contest underway!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the LaLiga meeting between Sevilla and Barcelona at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
BARCELONA XI (4-3-3): Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti, Jordi Alba; Arturo Vidal, Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic; Lionel Messi (c), Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho.
Sevilla subs: Andre Silva, Juan Soriano, Roque Mesa, Munir El Haddadi, Franco Vazquez, Guilherme Arana, Ibrahim Amadou.
SEVILLA XI (3-4-3): Tomas Vaclik; Gabriel Mercado, Simon Kjaer, Sergi Gomez; Jesus Navas (c), Marko Rog, Ever Banega, Maximilian Wober; Wissam Ben Yedder, Pablo Sarabia, Quincy Promes.
Barcelona are seven points clear at the top of the division heading into this game, despite drawing back-to-back matches prior to last weekend's narrow 1-0 win over Real Valladolid. Barca were far from their best in that match and, in truth, they have not been firing on all cylinders for a number of weeks now as they have drawn four of their last five matches in all competitions - including a stalemate with Lyon in the Champions League four days ago.
Sevilla find themselves fifth in the table and a couple of points behind Getafe, who beat Rayo Vallecano a little earlier to increase the pressure on Pablo Machin's side. After picking up one win in their last eight league matches, the home side could really do with a surprise victory today. However, they have won only one of their last 23 LaLiga clashes with Barca and have kept a clean sheet in just one of those games.
The two teams are now out on the field at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and we are moments away from kick-off.
Machin will be delighted with his side's first-half performance. The home side, struggling for form in LaLiga in recent weeks, have looked lively pretty much whenever they have got at their opponents, creating further chances for Kjaer and Promes. It would not be a surprise to see Ernesto Valverde turn to his bench ahead of the second half as he has Alena, Dembele and Malcom standing by.
They may have been made to work hard for it, but Valverde's men now have back-to-back wins in LaLiga and are well on course to retain their title. Next up for Barca is a trip to Real Madrid on Wednesday for the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final, which is poised at 1-1, while Sevilla face Huesca in the league seven days from now.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
