Everyone back in defence for Freiburg as they attempt to see through what would be a very valuable point. They have almost everyone back in the penalty area, trying to clog every passage through for Bayern, who respond by sending everyone forward themselves. They have to be careful not to be caught on the break...
90' +1
The fourth official raises his board to indicate there will be a minimum of five minutes added on at the end of this match.
90'
P. Lienhart enters the game and replaces L. Höler.
It's Holer's last involvement of the day, as he is immediately withdrawn for Lienhart.
89'
L. Höler has scored a goal for Freiburg! Assist by C. Günter.
That is simply a sensational delivery from Gunter, who provides the assist.
PARITY RESTORED! INCREDIBLE! It's 1-1 in Munich as Bayern are pegged back almost at the death! The hosts again concede possession cheaply in midfield, gifting Freiburg the chance to break, and Gunter provides an absolutely exquisite cross in from the left - as he's done on a few occasions today - serving it up on a platter for Holer to confidently turn in from eight yards!
88'
Bayern have not exactly been convincing in defence since opening the score, as they're proving a bit careless in possession, almost inviting Freiburg back into the match. Time is of the essence now, but the visitors certainly aren't without hope.
84'
Important block! Bayern are caught napping in defence as Freiburg carve them apart with some quick, incisive passing on the break, but an important recovery sees Hofler's effort blocked from 12 yards as the chance goes begging!
83'
L. Goretzka enters the game and replaces S. Gnabry.
L. Waldschmidt enters the game and replaces T. Kleindienst.
Kovac goes to his bench for a final time, bringing on some fresh legs in midfield in the hopes of seeing this one out, as Goretzka replaces Gnabry, who goes off to a thunderous applause.
80'
S. Gnabry has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by Rafinha.
Rafinha finds his name in the referee's book for a second time in a minute, as he records the assist just moments after seeing yellow at the other end.
BAYERN HAVE THEIR BREAKTHROUGH! 1-0! It's been a long wait for the hosts, but Freiburg's resistance is finally broken! Gnabry is picked out on the break by Rafinha, and the winger just opens up a bit of a shooting lane for himself, superbly picking out the bottom corner from 15 yards! It was a perfectly placed strike, sneaking just under the hand of Schwolow!
79'
Rafinha gets yellow.
A. Schwolow gets yellow.
Shwolow is booked for time wasting.
Back the other way come Freiburg, and Rafinha sees yellow for a bad foul on Haberer.

Description
78'
The end result is a massive disappointment for Bayern, who squander a great chance to at least work Schwolow. The free-kick is played short, pulled back to the top of the penalty area for Gnabry, but his first-time effort sails high and wide of the target.
77'
Stenzel commits a foul on Sanches, just mistiming his challenge, awarding Bayern a free-kick right on the edge of the penalty area, to the right of goal. Big chance here for Bayern...
75'
Bayern came into today trailing Borussia Dortmund by two points at the Bundesliga summit. Dortmund are currently leading 1-0 late on at Volkswagen area, putting added pressure on Kovac's side to find a winner here, or fall further behind in the title race.
73'
FOUL! Schwolow shows incredible reflexes to get his fingertips to Lewandowski's header from point-blank range, turning it onto the bar to deny Bayern the opener, but it wouldn't have counted anyhow as the Bayern striker was judged to have fouled a Freiburg defender as the cross was played it. It was a clear shove in the back and the right decision from the referee.
71'
T. Müller enters the game and replaces J. Rodríguez.
A second change for the hosts prompts another alteration in attack, with James giving way for Muller.
68'
Freiburg go to the bench for the first time today, as Terrazzino is introduced for some fresh legs in midfield, replacing Frantz.
67'
M. Terrazzino enters the game and replaces M. Frantz.
BLOCKED! BLOCKED! BLOCKED! Just no way through for Bayern in this match! A free-kick is won in an incredibly dangerous position on the edge of the penalty area, and Lewandowski's thunderous effort crashes into the wall, before seeing his follow-up blocked as well! Rafinha meets the loose ball for a third attempt, but his is turned aside as well!
65'
CLOSE! Frantz makes a wonderfully timed run to get down the right and on the end of a cross in towards the far post, but just can't get the desired contact at full-stretch as he knocks an effort wide of the mark!
63'
F. Ribéry enters the game and replaces A. Robben.
Bayern's first change sees Ribery come on to replace Robben in a like-for-like change on the wing. It will be interesting to see if Ribery takes up Robben's vacated position on the right, or if he plays on the left and forces Gnabry over in the process.
61'
A couple of massive decisions there from the referee, with help from his assistant in determining Freiburg's goal was offside, and help from VAR to deny Bayern a penalty. The match has really come to life, and remains brilliantly poised with half an hour still to play.
58'
Another massive moment in this match, as the referee is consulting with VAR to determine whether Bayern should be awarded a penalty, after Lewandowski's flick on appeared to strike the arm of a Freiburg defender. This would be very harsh though, as the contact was minimal and the defender had no time to react.
56'
A clear warning issued there to Bayern as Freiburg have an apparent breakthrough goal disallowed. The longer Bayern are made to wait for a goal, the more uncomfortable they're looking in this one.
52'
Each of the last seven shots on Bayern keeper Neuer’s goal have hit the back of the net. He hasn’t made a Bundesliga save for 390 minutes and counting.
50'
Good response from Freiburg who push forward encouragingly and win a corner, with the Bayern defence scrambling a bit. The subsequent delivery is inviting, but no blue shirt manages to meet it in the centre as the chance goes begging.
48'
The second half picks up exactly where the first half left off, with Bayern in possession in the attacking half, yet not looking very threatening. There's been no apparent change to the hosts in approach, or at least it's not evident yet if there is.
46'
Back underway in Munich! Who, if anyone, will break through in this second half?
45' +1
HALF-TIME: BAYERN MUNICH 0-0 FREIBURG.
45'
There will be a minimum of one minute added on at the end of this first half.
43'
Freiburg have eased the pressure on their goal, and some strong running from Haberer in midfield sees him win a free-kick in the attacking half following a foul from Kimmich. They will be in no rush to take this, keen to get this match into the interval.
41'
There's a bit more urgency on display here from the hosts, as they up their pursuit for an opener with half-time rapidly approaching. Freiburg have to keep there focus here and get this match into the break goalless. It would be a crippling blow should they concede so late in this first half.
39'
NO PENALTY! Bayern protest fervently for a spot-kick as Gnabry goes down in the penalty area following a lovely little one-two with Lewandowski, but the referee is having none of it. He has no interest in consulting with VAR either, and the replays show why, as Gnabry simply lost his balance at the vital moment under minimal contact.
33'
Freiburg have conceded nine goals in their four Bundesliga away matches this season, but are looking a completely different side defensively in this first half. They've answered every question Bayern have asked of them, and then some.
31'
A bit of frustration is setting in for Bayern, as they've struggled to find openings in attack. They're starting to resort to long-range efforts now, in the hopes of breaking this deadlock. Sanches sees one deflect wide from 25 yards, before Alaba misfires from closer to 30 no more than a minute later.
29'
The pace has picked up a decent amount now, with Freiburg showing a bit of intent on the break, and nearly being rewarded following a mix-up between Boateng and Neuer. It's really starting to come to life at the half-hour mark.
23'
When Bayern camp out in attack the likes of Alaba and Rafinha are getting so far forward, acting as if they're second wingers. Bayern have no shortage of bodies in attack, but because of that it's proving awfully congested in the final third, and that's hurting their ability to carve out space.
21'
Possession remains largely with Bayern, but they're looking a bit short on ideas as they struggle to break down this stingy and well-organised Freiburg defence. It's all been a bit pedestrian from Bayern in attack.
19'
Freiburg have grown into the match over the last few minutes, enjoying a couple of decent forays into attack. They're doing much better moving the ball forward quickly in transition, thanks to a lot more movement off the ball.
15'
Deflected wide! That's a better passage of play from the hosts, who get down the right through Robben before finding James in space in the centre, but his effort from 25 yards takes a big deflection and sails well wide of the far post.
13'
For all of Bayern's dominance, Freiburg have done considerably well to keep the hosts to the periphery. Bayern are finding space down the flanks, but it's proving awfully congested when they try and work the ball into the middle.
11'
Freiburg have had maybe two touches in the attacking half thus far, hardly managing to pass the ball forward. They've struggled mightily to string more than a few passes together, with Bayern quick to win the ball back when they concede possession.
9'
CLOSE! A well-worked move down the left sees James slide in Alaba, who sends a low delivery across the face of goal for Lewandowski, but Heintz does just enough to put him off and prevent him from turning an effort at goal!
5'
It's all Bayern in the opening stages as they are completely dominating possession, camping out in the attacking half. Freiburg are having to do a lot of defending, and that figures to be a bit of a common theme today.
3'
An early chance is presented to Bayern as they win a free-kick on the left, in a threatening area to whip in a cross. James tries to bend a delivery behind the defence, but Freiburg are wise to it, and the visitors are then comfortable in dealing with the subsequent corner.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Freiburg in their light blue away strip as they get the match underway, with Bayern in red.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Bundesliga match as Bayern Munich welcome Freiburg to Allianz Arena!
Bayern are back in Munich for the first time since October 6, with their last four matches coming away from home, as they search for a first victory at Allianz Arena since September 15. They have gone winless in their last three at their home stadium.
Their lengthy wait for a victory in Munich is a rarity for Die Roten, who are usually so dominant on their home pitch. Niko Kovac’s side seem to have righted the ship, however, and are overwhelming favourites to claim three points today to keep the pressure on Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.
After losing their opening two matches of the season, Freiburg have drastically turned things around with just one defeat in their seven league games since, moving to within touching distance of the top half of the table.
Defensively, however, there are some tendencies which have to be a concern for coach Christian Streich, as they rank near the bottom of the league in goals conceded – not a great recipe for a date with the free-scoring Bavarians.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
Freiburg are dealt a major blow in attack as striker Nils Petersen misses out through injury, prompting a reshuffle in attack. Tim Kleindienst and Lucas Holer come in to lead the attack, with Gian-Luca Waldschmidt dropping to the bench. The other change from last weekend's victory over Gladbach sees Pascal Stenzel replace the injured Lukas Kubler at right-back.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-3-3): Manuel Neuer; Rafinha, Niklas Sule, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba; Joshua Kimmich, Renato Sanches, James Rodriguez; Arjen Robben, Serge Gnabry, Robert Lewandowski.
SUBS: Javi Martinez, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Franck Ribery, Sven Ulreich, Sandro Wagner.
FREIBURG (4-4-2): Alexander Schwolow; Pascal Stenzel, Manuel Gulde, Dominique Heintz, Christian Gunter; Janik Haberer, Robin Koch, Nicolas Hofler, Mike Frantz; Tim Kleindienst, Lucas Holer.
SUBS: Gian-Luca Waldschmidt, Patrick Kammerbauer, Mark Flekken, Marco Terrazzino, Philipp Lienhart, Yoric Ravet, Chima Okoroji.
A relatively quiet first half in Munich ends goalless, with neither side doing enough to find an opener. Bayern have created precious little despite dominating possession, with Alexander Schwolow only having a pair of decent saves to make. It's a fair scoreline through 45 minutes.
Bayern do have plenty of attacking options they can turn to off the bench, with the likes of Muller, Goretzka and Ribery all capable of providing a spark. Kovac cannot be happy with what he's seen thus far from his side, suggesting it may not be long before he goes to his bench.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
