Good evening and welcome to live match coverage of the Champions League fixture between Club Brugge and Monaco at the Jan Breydelstadion.
Club Brugge come into this clash without a win in their last three games in all competitions and will look to bounce back following their 3-1 to Atletico Madrid last time out. Monaco too come into this match in need of a win. Their 3-0 defeat to Dortmund at the beginning of the month leaves them bottom of the group on goal difference.

The teams are out in the tunnel and kick-off will soon be upon us here at the Jan Breydelstadion.
Club Brugge will be looking to continue their bright domestic form into the Champions League on matchday three. Wesley will be hoping to add to his tally of six goals for the season to inspire the Belgian side to victory. Monaco, however, are without a win in their last 11 matches while Thierry Henry will be looking for his first win as head coach and Monaco’s first in this Champions League campaign.
Monaco took the lead just after half an hour through Sylla after a wonderful piece of counter-attacking play from Golovin. Brugge soon hit back though when Vanaken’s cross from the right was well met by Wesley who had no problems nodding the ball beyond Badiashile. Jovetic needed to be replaced early on when he picked up a knock in a tussle with Poulain.
Brugge grew into the game towards the end of the first half and were able to stop Monaco playing the ball around freely. Vanaken had plenty of joy attacking Chadli down the Monaco right and that is likely something that Brugge will look to exploit. Monaco will look to get Golovin in the game more in the upcoming second half after his wonderful piece of play for the opening goal.
Club Brugge and Monaco will face each other again next time out in matchday four of the Champions League. After tonight’s 1-1 draw, both sides still sit level at the bottom of Group A with only one point. Domestically, Club Brugge travel away to Sint-Truiden whilst Monaco are at home to Dijon this weekend.
That brings an end to our coverage of the Champions League clash between Club Brugge and Monaco at the Jan Breydelstadion. Thank you very much for joining us. Good night!
