Late free-kick for Monaco and Ghezzal whips it into the middle. Diakhaby is thee to receive the delivery but his header is a mess and the attack fizzles out once again.
88'
It will certainly be interesting to see what sort of response Monaco show this weekend against Paris Saint-Germain. A defeat there may well leave their season in tatters.
86'
Tempers are flaring, with Upamecano and Raggi exchanging some choice words. I wouldn't be surprised if someone gets a red card before the end of this one.
85'
Jorge gets yellow.
Poulsen now on the receiving end and he finally gets the free-kick he's been craving. Jorge, meanwhile, enters the book.
84'
Y. Poulsen gets yellow.
Low and behold, Poulsen gets a yellow card. He flies into an aerial duel with Fabinho and takes out the Brazilian midfielder, so he certainly deserves his booking.
83'
G. Carrillo enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
Poulsen continues to clash with Glik and express his frustration to the referee, which has made him public enemy number one amongst the home supporters this evening.
Final change of the match for Monaco, with Moutinho replaced by Carrillo. It's an attacking change but it seems extremely late.
81'
CHANCE! Leipzig continue to attack following a corner and have two big chances in succession. Firstly, Kampl's aerial delivery is just beyond the head of Poulsen and Keita then picks the ball up on the far side, driving at goal and forcing Subasic into action as he fires a low ball across the face of goal.
79'
K. Laimer enters the game and replaces E. Forsberg.
Leipzig's final change of the match sees Laimer take to the field, with Forsberg making way.
77'
Free-kick in a decent attacking area for Monaco after Upamecano fouls Fabinho. Moutinho strikes for goal but it's never threatening the Leipzig net, flying over the bar.
Minute
Description
75'
Monaco heading for a horrendous result here and an inquest is likely to follow ahead of this weekend's crucial Ligue 1 clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
73'
Monaco have found some pressure in the past few minutes but it still hasn't led to any openings. In the Leipzig net, Gulacsi has had a quiet second period.
71'
Penalty shout! Diakhaby with superb work down the right sees him work his way into a decent position to delivery towards Falcao who, lurking in the centre, believes he's fouled and appeals for a penalty. The referee isn't interested though.
70'
Poulsen against Glik is certainly a battle to watch though, as the pair have clashed a number of times in the past ten minutes and the Danish striker is growing increasingly agitated.
69'
The sting of this match has certainly disappeared since the interval, with Leipzig happy to run down the clock and Monaco knowing they're on the brink of an early exit.
67'
Second change for the night for the host. Rony Lopes, who recently made his international debut for Portugal, is replaced by Rachid Ghezzal.
66'
R. Ghezzal enters the game and replaces Rony Lopes.
The intensity of the second half has understandably dropped a lot when compared to the first but Leipzig are still getting forward. Poulsen wins a corner, which Forsberg takes again. Poulsen rises highest but heads wide of the mark.
64'
Leipzig still dominating, with Keita having a storming match in the middle of the park, and the game is currently fizzling into a dull patch.
62'
Leipzig playing some superb possession football as they're ticking down the clock. They've not been perfect tonight but there has been promising signs for sure.
60'
Monaco's first change of the night brings an end to Keita's evening, with Diakhaby coming on.
59'
A. Diakhaby enters the game and replaces K. Baldé.
CHANCE! Glorious chance for Monaco as Moutinho's free-kick is flicked on by Keita and is almost turned in from close range by Raggi.
58'
Bruma enters the game and replaces T. Werner.
Second change of the night for Leipzig, having lost Sabitzer to injury in the first period. Werner won't get his hat-trick and Bruma comes on to replace him.
56'
OFFSIDE! Almost a chance of redemption for Jemerson, who's flagged offside. He struck his effort well, though it appeared to hit the post.
55'
Leipzig win a corner off Raggi but Forsberg's delivery is swiftly dealt with, allowing Monaco to hit on the counter and win a corner at the other end.
53'
Leipzig still happy to sit back but remain dangerous on the counter, where Werner will surely be desperate to snatch a hat-trick.
51'
Monaco are starting this second period on the front foot but they're still unable to craft any clear cut opportunities.
49'
Fabinho gets yellow.
Another yellow card for Monaco, with Fabinho booked after going in hard on Poulsen.
48'
Moutinho flagged offside after his corner is sent right back to him. He certainly needs to improve in the second half as his creativity has been lacking.
46'
Jemerson gets yellow.
Jemerson in the book, his bad night continues.
45' +2
Two minutes added on and Leipzig will be in great spirits for the interval.
45'
N. Keïta has scored a goal for RB Leipzig! Assist by M. Halstenberg.
The pass from Halstenberg still left Keita with a lot to do but his play was superb.
GOAL! Leipzig restore their three goal lead in less than a minute. Keita turned Glik superbly and fired into the bottom corner past Subasic. Liverpool fans will be licking their lips at that!
KICK-OFF! Back underway in the French principality, with Leipzig now kicking to the left.
43'
R. Falcao has scored a goal for Monaco! Assist by Rony Lopes.
Gulacsi has been keen to come off his line all game and that delivery from Lopes was inch perfect. Monaco need more of that after the break.
GOAL! Game on? Klostermann fouls Keita and Lopes puts the free-kick into a dangerous area, where Gulacsi is caught in no man's land and Falcao can head home with ease.
41'
Monaco haven't created an opportunity for a while and Falcao has been a passenger for the majority of this half.
39'
CHANCE! Big opportunity for Werner to grab a hat-trick, as he surges past Jemerson, but it's a wasted finish as he blasts well off target.
37'
João Moutinho gets yellow.
Horrendous challenge from Moutinho, who enters the book after a foul on Forsberg.
35'
D. Demme enters the game and replaces M. Sabitzer.
Confirmation of the change, with birthday boy Diego Demme coming on for Sabitzer.
34'
A break in play now as Sabitzer receives treatment after slipping inside the area and it looks like his game is up, as he's stretchered off.
33'
Monaco's defensive line is parting like the red sea every single time Leipzig come forward. Unfortunately for them, it's Jemerson who's acting as Moses in this scenario as he's leaving huge holes in the back line.
31'
Penalty goal scored by T. Werner for RB Leipzig!
GOAL! Werner gets his second of the game, his fifth in just four games, and Leipzig lead 3-0.
30'
PENALTY! An absolute disaster for Monaco! Forsberg's corner creates all sorts of problems and Falcao fouls Orban.
29'
Jemerson is at sixes and sevens at the heart of Monaco's defence, with Poulsen skipping past him. Fortunately, it only results in a corner.
27'
This game certainly isn't over yet and Monaco seem to be the most likely to score, though they haven't tested Gulacsi in a while.
25'
Poulsen has spent the majority of the game so far on the deck, rolling around and appealing for free-kicks. It's not working and it's a bit embarrassing, in all honesty.
23'
Leipzig are actually leaving a lot to be desired in their play and they're yet to craft an opening which hasn't come directly from a Monaco mistake.
21'
To be fair to them, the response from Monaco has been relatively good and they've had some decent openings to put themselves back in the game. The damage is done though and Leipzig are happy to work on the counter-attack.
19'
There's certainly goals left in this game but Monaco need three if they're to keep their European hopes alive. That's certainly a monumental task.
17'
Leipzig may be two goals to the good but they certainly don't look comfortable. They're failing to retain possession and have looked shaky at the back, so can be thankful that Gulacsi is alert.
15'
SAVE! Another chance for Monaco as Moutinho's free-kick isn't dealt with properly and Rony Lopes heads back into the area, where Falcao volleys and forces Gulacsi into action once again.
13'
SAVE! RB Leipzig architects of their own downfall as they sloppily concede possession, with the ball played to Keita and he forces a strong save from Gulacsi. He then tumbles in the area but there's no chance of a spot kick.
11'
Free-kick on the far side for Monaco after a foul from Forsberg and it's resulted in handbags, with Raggi angry with the challenge on his team-mate.
9'
T. Werner has scored a goal for RB Leipzig! Assist by K. Kampl.
GOAL! RB Leipzig double their lead! Jemerson again with the error as he concedes possession, with Kampl feeding the ball into Werner and it's an easy finish for his tenth goal of the campaign.
A horrendous few minutes for Jemerson, who scored an own goal and then gave the ball away for the second. Kampl pounced and Monaco have a mountain to climb.
8'
We're approaching the festive season and that's a gift to Leipzig. There seemed to be no danger at all with the delivery and Jemerson got his angles all wrong.
6'
Jemerson is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
The referee is certainly letting a lot run early on here, with Falcao and Poulsen both appealing for free-kicks for their respective sides but getting nothing in return.
GOAL! Nightmare start for Monaco! Sabitzer bursts down the right and plays a low ball into the area where Jemerson sticks out a leg and puts it past his own keeper.
4'
A very aggressive start from Monaco and they're not giving Leipzig any time on the ball. The Germans sloppily concede possession but Keita's cross cannot find Moutinho in the middle.
2'
An early stop here to change the ball and Monaco give possession back to RB Leipzig.
1'
KICK-OFF! We're underway at the Stade Louis II. Monaco get us started, kicking from right to left.
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of the crucial Champions League clash between Monaco and RB Leipzig, where both sides have everything to play for as we approach the end of the group stages.
RB Leipzig XI: Peter Gulacsi; Lukas Klostermann, Willi Orban, Dayotchanculle Upamecano, Marcel Halstenberg; Marcel Sabitzer, Naby Keita, Kevin Kampl, Emil Forsberg; Timo Werner, Yussuf Poulsen.
Monaco subs: Diego Benaglio, Kevin N'Doram, Adama Diakhaby, Guido Carrillo, Terence Kongolo, Rachid Ghezzal, Almamy Toure.
RB Leipzig subs: Yvon Mvogo, Bernardo, Konrad Laimer, Bruma, Ibrahimi Konate, Diego Demme, Jean-Kevin Augustin.
Monaco make just the one change from the side that drew 1-1 with Besiktas last time out in Europe, with Thomas Lemar absent through injury. Radamel Falcao comes in as his replacement, which sees Keita move to the left flank.
After losing 3-1 to Porto last time in the Champions League, RB Leipzig make three changes to their side. Klostermann, Werner and Poulsen start as the Germans switch to a two-man attack. Bruma, Bernardo and Augustin therefore drop to the bench.
Monaco come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Caen and face a crucial clash with Paris Saint-Germain this weekend, whilst RB Leipzig drew 2-2 with ten-man Bayer Leverkusen.
Monaco caught the eye of the entire continent last year with their fantastic venture in the Champions League but the French champions are in real danger, yet to win a group match this season. Porto's draw with Besiktas earlier today means that Monaco still have a chance to advancing to the knock-out rounds but results must go their way. If they lose this evening, they won't even be able to qualify for the Europa League.
RB Leipzig have also found things difficult in their maiden Champions League campaign but know they can pull level on points with Porto with a win tonight. A victory would also guarantee them further European action in the New Year, as it would be enough to secure at least third place in Group G.
That's the half! An absolute horror show from Monaco, who have put the game on a plate for their German opponents. The hosts gifted two early goals to RB Leipzig and then conceded a penalty. It seemed they'd have a way back when Falcao headed home but Keita struck immediately.
As it stands then, last year's semi-finalists are out of European football altogether. Monaco have been woeful defensively and Jemerson in particular has looked way out of his depth. At the other end, they haven't created anywhere near enough to suggest they can get back into the game.
Leipzig, in all honesty, haven't been great. Looking soft at the back, they've benefitted from sloppy defending from their opponents. Werner has been electric though and they look to have secured victory tonight. There's certainly warning signs for the latter stages though, should they get there.
FULL-TIME! RB Leipzig keep their Champions League dreams alive and it's an end to Monaco's European involvement. A nightmare few minutes for Jemerson saw him score an own goal and sloppily give the ball away for Werner to score, before the German striker tucked home a penalty. It seemed the hosts would have a chance when Falcao headed home before the break but Keita struck back immediately to restore the three goal advantage.
An evening to forget for Monaco as their European adventure comes to a premature end. The French champions have now lost four consecutive Champions League matches at the Stade Louis II, having won six of their seven prior to that, and are now seven games without a win in Europe's elite competition.
Leipzig's victory is historic as it secures their first ever victory away from home in Europe and it gives them hope of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League. They clash with Besiktas in two weeks time, who have already secured top spot, and will require a favour from Monaco in the match against Porto as the Portuguese side currently have the advantage over Leipzig due to their head-to-head record.
