90'
The fourth official raises his board to indicate that there will be two minutes of additional time at the end of this game.
88'
E. Barnett enters the game and replaces L. Walker.
A fifth change of the day from the visitors sees Walker go off to be replaced by Erin Barnett.
86'
STAT ATTACK! Gibraltar have now conceded 74 goals over their 19 international matches. That works out at just under four a game!
83'
CHANCE FOR GIBRALTAR! They are awarded a free-kick near the corner of the penalty area after Pepe is penalised. Roy Chipolina is forward for the delivery and throws himself at the ball, but is just inches away from making the vital connection that would have given his country a consolation.
81'
This is more like it from the Portuguese! Three goals in the space of six minutes have given the scoreline a more accurate look. There is still just under 10 minutes to go here and they will be eager to add to their current tally.
79'
Pepe has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Bernardo Silva.
Bernardo Silva turns provider with a magnificent cross for Pepe to turn home.
PEPE MAKES IT FIVE!!! The heavens have opened in the Gibraltar goalmouth! Bernando Silva turns provider on this occasion - delivering a fierce ball to the far post, which an unmarked Pepe cushions back across the face of goal and into the corner beyond a helpless Robba.
76'
Bernardo Silva has scored a goal for Portugal!
WHAT A HOWLER FOR ROBBA!!! Bernardo Silva opens his account at international level! Portugal are streaming forward into the penalty area and a loose clearance drops nicely for the substitute. His shot is a tame one and he is just about to turn away in disgust, but Robba lets the ball slide under his body and over the line. The Monaco man appears more embarrassed than happy at scoring his first goal at international level.
75'
R. Guilling enters the game and replaces J. Chipolina.
Another change for Gibraltar sees Joseph Chipolina make way to be replaced by Robert Guilling.
73'
João Cancelo has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by André Silva.
Andre Silva showed good awareness to lay the ball into the path of Cancelo.
WHAT A STRIKE!!! Cancelo marks his debut with a goal! And he's probably never hit a ball as sweetly as that... A patient build-up from the hosts sees Andre Silva lay the ball into the path of the right-back at a tight angle, and he smashes it past Robba off the underside of the crossbar. Ronaldo would certainly have been proud of that one!

Description
71'
CHANCE FOR GIBRALTAR! Yome is one-on-one with Alves and just the keeper to beat. However, the defender stands his ground well as the substitute gets it all wrong and slices his shot wide.
68'
The Mexican Waves continue to do laps around the stadium. Portugal are looking very comfortable with their lead but, undoubtedly, should have more goals to their tally.
66'
Both managers are clearly keen to get a look at all of their players ahead of the start of the World Cup Qualifying campaign next week. Portugal travel to Switzerland for their opening game, while Gibraltar host Greece.
63'
Eliseu enters the game and replaces João Mário.
J. Bosio enters the game and replaces A. Payas.
M. Yome enters the game and replaces K. Casciaro.
André Gomes enters the game and replaces Raphaël Guerreiro.
The second sees Mario make way for Eliseu.
And the third sees Guerreiro's place taken by André Gomes.
Gibraltar also make a couple of alterations, as Kyle Casciaro makes way for Michael Yome.
Meanwhile, Jamie Bosio comes on for Payas.
62'
Rafa enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.
Three more changes coming from Portugal. The first sees Rafa replace Moutinho.
60'
Whether he meant it or not, Mario is not too far away from making it 3-0, as his cross into the area clips the top of the crossbar with Robba somewhat stranded.
58'
HOW IS IT NOT 3-0?! The Portuguese work the ball into the box once more. It falls for Andre Silva who, rather unselfishly, lays it off for Mario, but the number 10 does not catch his effort right and the chance goes begging.
55'
Nani has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Bernardo Silva.
Bernardo Silva sent in a beautiful cross that just needed directing beyond the goalkeeper.
NANI DOUBLES PORTUGAL'S LEAD!!! The skipper stands up and makes himself counted once again! A short corner is played to Andre Silva, who skips away from a challenge before sitting a cross up into the area, which Nani glances beautifully into the far corner beyond the helpless Robba.
53'
GOOD CLEARANCE! The hosts are on the attack once more with a deep cross picking out Mario at the far post. However, Roy Chipolina finds himself at the right place at the right time to make a very important block from the header.
51'
GOOD SAVE! Bernardo Silva makes an impact immediately. Cutting in from the right flank and onto his left foot, he stings the palms of Robba with a powerful strike.
49'
The hosts should be into double figures by now based on the number of chances created alone. It would be interesting to see what the scenario would be if a certain Cristiano Ronaldo had been on the end of these opportunities.
47'
CHANCE! Portugal go straight onto the attack and force a corner. From the subsequent delivery, a poor clearance falls straight to the feet of Nani in the six-yard box. However, he only succeeds in blazing the ball high over the crossbar.
46'
J. Robba enters the game and replaces J. Perez.
André Silva enters the game and replaces Éder.
Bernardo Silva enters the game and replaces Ricardo Quaresma.
Adrien Silva enters the game and replaces William Carvalho.

The second sees Adrien Silva come on for Carvalho.
And the third sees Quaresma make way to be replaced by Bernardo Silva.
45' +1
The referee blows his whistle and brings the first half to an end.
44'
Nothing comes of the corner but Portugal are continuing to press in search of the second goal. Even though this is only a friendly, Santos will be expecting more from his side in the second half.
42'
The noise level increases inside Estadio do Bessa as Quaresma earns a corner on the far side of the pitch. Portugal could do with adding to their tally before the break...
40'
NICE PLAY! Carvalho brilliantly skips away from a challenge before playing a crisp one-two with Eder on the edge of the area. He tries to beat Perez at the near post, but the Gibraltar keeper is alert and tips the effort over.
38'
CLOSE! Portugal almost double their lead with seven minutes of the first half remaining. Eder sends a square ball against the post before Mario's deflected follow-up effort is just about gathered by Perez.
36'
Although the fans were a little restless before the breakthrough, they are still very much in good spirits today. Several Mexican Waves have made their way around the stadium and there is plenty of noise coming from them.
34'
The Portuguese dominance so far is evident by the fact that they have enjoyed three-quarters of the possession over the past 15 minutes. Santos will now be urging his players to turn their superiority into goals.
32'
STAT ATTACK! Portugal have not enjoyed the best of fortunes at the home of Boavista. In fact, on their last appearance here, they were beaten 4-1 by Finland in March 2002! However, it is fairly unlikely that history of that kind will repeat itself today.
30'
OVER THE BAR! A swift build-up from the hosts sees an unmarked Eder picked out in the box, but the Euro 2016 match-winner is unable to steer the ball towards goal and Gilbraltar can relax once more.
27'
Nani has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Bruno Alves.
Alves provided the assist by hooking the ball back into the box.
PORTUGAL TAKE THE LEAD!!! Nani opens the scoring and that will settle the hosts down! A corner is cleared only as far as Mario before Alves hooks the ball back into the box. The ball drops nicely for the unmarked skipper, who sends a controlled side-footed volley past Perez for his 22nd international goal.
25'
A. Hernandez enters the game and replaces A. Bardon.
Bardon has failed to recover from the knock he sustained in the challenge with Quaresma and is replaced by Anthony Hernandez.
23'
There is a slight delay before the free-kick is taken, after Bardon stays down injured following the collision with Quaresma. The eventual delivery is met by Nani but, once again, he cannot keep it down.
21'
Portugal are still awaiting the breakthrough in this game and it is no real surprise that the fans are starting to get a little restless. They have a free-kick on the edge of the area after Quaresma is fouled by Bardon and this is a decent opportunity for them...
19'
NOT TOO FAR AWAY! A purposeful build-up from Portugal eventually sees the ball break for Mario on the edge of the area. He puts his laces through the ball, but sees it whistle just over the bar. Replays show that Perez got a touch, but a goal-kick is awarded.
17'
The noise inside the stadium goes up a notch as Quaresma skips away from a challenge down the right wing and advances into the penalty area. He looks to pull the ball back, but the defence read it well and clear.
15'
CHANCE! A neat one-two between Nani and Guerreiro sees the ball break kindly for the skipper, but he does not catch his shot cleanly and it is blocked by the Gibraltar defence.
13'
Carvalho rises highest in the penalty area to connect with Nani's corner, but he gets caught under the ball and sends his header looping over the crossbar.
11'
They may be under pressure from their opponents, but Gibraltar are seeing plenty of the ball. However, the visitors need to make the most of any possession that comes their way to get anything out of this friendly.
9'
OUCH! Bardon is penalised after a reckless lunge on Moutinho, which would certainly warrant a card in a competitive match. However, he just gets a stern telling off on this occasion and, fortunately, the Portuguese midfielder is quickly back on his feet.
7'
Portugal's number nine is causing Gibraltar plenty of problems with his presence and movement so far. This time, he latches onto William Carvalho's through ball but, faced by the centre-half, can only send his shot wide of the target.
5'
Eder is almost in again as he charges down an underhit backpass, but Perez just about manages to get to the ball first and rescue the situation for the visitors.
3'
CHANCE! Portugal have the first sight of goal in the third minute, as Eder meets Nani's deep ball into the box, but Roy Chipolina does enough to put him off on this occasion.
1'
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Gibraltar get the match underway.
Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of international football! We're at Estadio do Bessa today as Portugal begin life as European champions with a friendly against Gibraltar - it's good to have your company.
The first-ever meeting between the sides is expected to be a comfortable one in favour of the Euro 2016 winners, who are back in action 53 days after their dramatic extra-time victory over host nation France in the final.
Fernando Santos names eight of the squad that played at the Stade de France in his starting line-up. Nani captains the side in the absence of the injured Cristiano Ronaldo to win his 104th cap, while match-winner Eder and Ricardo Quaresma are also handed starts as part of a three-man attack. Eduardo is given the nod ahead of Rui Patricio between the sticks, while Joao Cancelo makes his debut at right-back and FC Porto forward Andre Silva could also earn a first international cap from the bench.
PORTUGAL (4-3-3): Eduardo; Cancelo, Alves, Pepe, Guerreiro; Moutinho, W. Carvalho, Mario; Nani (c), Eder, Quaresma.
PORTUGAL SUBS: Patricio, Cedric, Gomes, Fonte, Neto, Pereira, Rafa Silva, Bernardo Silva, Adrien Silva, Eliseu, Andre Silva, Marafona.
GIBRALTAR (4-4-2): Perez; Wiseman, R. Chipolina (c), R. Casciaro, J. Chipolina; Payas, Garcia, Olivero, Bardon; K. Casciaro, Walker.
Gibraltar's starting 11 has a very familiar feel to it. Left-back Joseph Chipolina continues his run of having played every one of his country's 19 matches, while namesake Roy captains the side on his 18th appearance - a tally matched today by Liam Walker. Elsewhere, the Casciaro brothers Ryan and Kyle earn their 17th caps, while Kyle Goldwin and Dean Torrilla will be hoping to make their debuts from the bench.
HERE THEY COME: The teams are making their way out onto the field and Portugal are presented with the European Championship trophy once again before the national anthems are observed...
HALF-TIME: PORTUGAL 1-0 GIBRALTAR
Nani's goal is the difference between the sides at half-time, but Portugal should certainly be further ahead with the amount of possession they have had and chances created. Fernando Santos will encourage them to be more clinical after the break, you feel.
Meanwhile, Gibraltar will be fairly satisfield with the 1-0 scoreline at half-time. They have been outplayed in all fairness and will be concentrating on keeping things respectable in the second half.
The players are coming back onto the field and the second half is moments away...
FULL-TIME: PORTUGAL 5-0 GIBRALTAR
As expected, it was a comprehensive win for the hosts in their first match as European champions. Nani opened the scoring in the first half before doubling the lead in the second - taking his goal tally to 23 in his 104th international appearance. Debutant Joao Cancelo and Bernardo Silva each opened their account for Portugal later on, before Pepe rounded things off with the fifth 11 minutes from time. Gibraltar cannot be faulted in any way for their effort today, but they were simply outclassed by their opponents.
That's all for today! Thanks for your company during this international friendly at Estadio do Bessa, hope you've enjoyed the coverage. Until next time, have a very good evening!
