Besiktas are just keeping the ball in the corner now, running down the clock.
90' +3
CHANCE! One last chance for the visitors to grab a third as Quaresma finds himself open on the right, but his low drive is just past the far post.
90' +2
Erkin ushers the ball out of play for a throw, and that looks like it might be that.
90'
Besiktas break quickly and show some great one-touch passing to get in behind, but the final ball is poor and overhit, and the chance is gone. Babel showed some very clever skills in an attempt to keep the move alive though, leaving his marker clueless.
89'
Álvaro Negredo enters the game and replaces C. Tosun.
Tosun is denied the chance to get his hat-trick as he is replaced by ex-Manchester City striker Negredo, who comes on for the final few minutes of the game.
87'
Just three minutes of normal time to go, and Besiktas look increasingly like making it across the line with all three points.
CHANCE! Lopes darts into the area with nimble footwork and good pace, but his first-time ball low into the middle is cleared by the goalkeeper.
85'
Pepe has re-entred the field, but Tosun is now limping and holding his ankle after a collision on the left wing. He doesn't look like he'll be forced off though.
83'
It turns out that that player was Pepe (would you believe it?), and he hobbles to the sidelines for treatment, leaving his side to defend with 10 men momentarily.
82'
Boschilla wins a foul on the left wing in his first contribution, and Fabri flaps at it before it is cleared, taking out one of his own players in the process, who stays down holding his face.
79'
Boschilia enters the game and replaces D. Sidibé.
Full-back Sidibé is replaced by Brazilian attacking midfielder Boschilia as Jardim goes for an equaliser in the last 10 minutes or so.
Minute
Description
78'
A Monaco corner looks inviting, but nobody can get their head to it and it is cleared, before a foul is conceded as Besiktas look to break.
75'
CHANCE! A knock-down from a throw in sees Tosun on the edge of the box with the ball. Glik dives in and the striker evades him, but his shot across goal is just stopped by the foot of a sprawling Subasic! No hat-trick yet for the striker!
74'
O. Özyakup enters the game and replaces Talisca.
G. Medel enters the game and replaces T. Arslan.
Anderson Talisca is replaced by another potentially familiar name in former Arsenal youngster Özyakup.
Arslan is replaced by former Cardiff City and Inter midfielder Medel, who will provide plenty of grit and steel to the midfield as the Turkish side look to see out these last 15 minutes or so.
71'
Falcao tries to curl the ball into the top corner from distance, but a deflection wins him a corner instead. Glik then gives away a free-kick in the penalty area.
69'
CHANCE! The ball is dinked towards the onrushing Quaresma on the right side of the box, and he tries to smash the ball across goal from a very tight angle instead of crossing for a team-mate. Selfish play there, especially with just one goal in the game.
68'
Babel finds Tosun on the edge of the box, and he ignores the run of a team-mate on his right in a vain attempt to try and complete his hat-trick. He ends up firing against the back of a Monaco defender and the chance is wasted.
67'
Full-backs Sidibe and Toure seem to have swapped sides. It was noticeable on occassion in the first half, but it's clearly an intentional tactical decision and doesn't seem to be temporary.
64'
CHANCE! Lopees does really well to jink past a couple of challenges into the box, and then pulls it back to an unmarked Keita Balde, who misses the ball completely! Lemar then fires the follow-up into a Besiktas defender and the chance is gone! Keita Balde had so much space!
61'
Monaco really pushing to get back on level terms now. Lemar showed good quick feet to get past one man, but was dispossessed by the second and Toure then took a potshot from distance that was miles over the bar.
57'
Rony Lopes enters the game and replaces Y. Tielemans.
Tielemans is replaced by Lopes as Jardim goes for more natural width. The young Belgian is a talented footballer, but he's a central midfielder and having to shuffle out to the right when his team were without the ball visibly restricted his game.
54'
C. Tosun has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by R. Babel.
Babel made the most of his slice of luck as the shot rebounded to him from the post, and showed good awareness to pick out Tousn rather than shooting from a tight angle.
GOAL! Tosun gives Besiktas the advantage for the first time this evening! Arslan's shot cannons back off the base of the post, leaving Subasic rooted to the spot, and falls kindly to Babel, who plays it back into the middle for a lurking Tosun to convert and make it 2-1 to the visitors!
51'
Quaresma gets in behind Toure, but his pull-back as he reaches the byline is wayward and behind his advancing team-mates. That was a good position, and a wasted opportunity.
49'
K. Baldé gets yellow.
Keita Baldé gets a yellow for barging into Erkin as he looked to release a team-mate in behind with a through ball.
47'
Sidibe chases a through ball down the Monaco right, and Babel gets in between him and the ball. The right-back thinks he's won a corner as he tussles with the winger, but he gives a foul away instead.
46'
And we're back underway! Monaco kick us off in this second half.
45' +1
CHANCE! Both sides are pushing to go ahead before half-time here as the game gets stretched. Keita Balde dives to meet a cross with his head at the near post but he can't quite direct it inside the post!
42'
Tielemans is very harshly penalised for a foul as he chases a clearance down. It looked like a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge to me, and a soft one at that!
41'
Lemar tried to bend one towards Falcao at the far post, but Fabri is out assertively to claim the cross and takes the sting out of the situation.
40'
CHANCE! A wonderful passing move sees Tielemans fire a shot towards the near post, but the goalkeeper reads it well and manages to hold on at the second attempt. End-to-end stuff here!
38'
Replays show that Falcao nutmegged his marker in the build-up to his goal. Fantastic piece of skill and ingenuity from the striker there.
36'
T. Arslan gets yellow.
Arslan receives a deserved yellow for dumping a red and white shirt unceremoniously on the turf. One of the easier decisions for the referee tonight.
34'
C. Tosun has scored a goal for Besiktas! Assist by Ricardo Quaresma.
Tosun might have gotten the goal, but Quaresma's cross was excellent, and Besiktas had ended up with a three-on-one in the middle. Kamil Glik looked bewildered at why he was left so isolated.
GOAL! Besiktas equalise! The ball is worked out to Quaresma on the right, and he produces a peach of a cross that Tosun powers into the net! There were three of them lining up there, but the striker was keen to make sure it was his name on the scoresheet! 1-1 and game on!
30'
R. Falcao has scored a goal for Monaco! Assist by K. Baldé.
Keita Baldé showed great pace to stride forward and ignite the counter, but the young forward also had the presence of mind to play a simple ball to Falcao rather than going for glory. He's had an impressive showing so far.
GOAL! Falcao breaks the deadlock! Having just defended a corner, Monaco break quickly through the impressive Keita Balde, who finds his Colombian team-mate with a neat pass. The striker finds a yard of space past his marker and pokes it past the keeper into the far corner! 1-0 Monaco!
28'
Off the ball, Monaco are settling into a 4-4-2 formation, with Tielemans operating in a tucked-in role on the right at Keita Balde playing off of Falcao up front.
25'
CHANCE! Some poor defensive communication allows Falcao to latch onto a hopeful punt in the box, but his first-time effort under pressure ripples the side netting.
23'
Lemar works hard down the left as he chases an overhit pass, and wins a corner for his efforts. It comes to nothing, however.
21'
CHANCE! The free-kick is whipped in and redirected towards the bottom corner, but somehow Subasic gets down to push it away! That was a sensational save!
20'
Keita Balde - who has looked very bright so far - is rather harshly penalised for handball as he looked to counter quickly, but the ball was kicked at his hand more than anything.
17'
CHANCE! The resulting free-kick is powered around the wall and towards goal by Lemar, but Fabri pulls off an outstanding save to tip it behind for a corner!
16'
Pepe gets yellow.
There's a scrappy spell as neither side can keep hold of the ball in midfield, but the game opens up and a couple of attempted breaks result in a booking for Pepe as he halts what was a very promising run from keita Balde, who had Falcao in space for a one-on-one chance had he gotten past the Portuguese defender.
13'
Monaco look to respond through Tielemans, who jinks inside his marker and tries to fire a shot in from the left-hand corner of the box, but his effort is tame and straight at the goalkeeper.
11'
There's a real bite to Besiktas tonight, and they're showing all the drive and aggression that has served them so well so far in this group.
9'
That offside call was a little contentious, as the ball into Talisca deflected off of the onrushing Subasic. However, the game remains level for the time being.
7'
NO GOAL! Keita Balde is dispossessed on the edge of the Besiktas box, and a quick break sees Talisca put the ball in the Monaco net - but it's flagged up for offside!
6'
There's a clash of heads in the box as Fabinho and Tosun jump to meet a Besiktas cross, and play is temporarily halted while the two players are checked over.
4'
Some good interplay relseases Lemar down the Monaco left, but his cross is wayward and sails out for a goal kick.
3'
Besiktas win a corner, but Quaresma's delivery is deemed to have gone out of play before coming back in.
2'
Besiktas give away a couple of early fouls, but no cards are dished out. They're not going to make life easy for their hosts, and will challenge them physically as much as technically.
1'
And we're off! Besiktas get us underway!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this evening's Champions League fixture between Monaco and Besiktas at Stade Louis II stadium.
The teams have been announced, and we'll start with the home side.
There are a host of familiar names on the visitors' bench today, including former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo, ex-Cardiff CIty hardman Gary Medel, and former Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens. Not to mention three-time Champions League winner Pepe in the starting XI.
Both sides will be looking to bounce back from domestic defeats tonight - the hosts were narrowly beaten 3-2 away to Lyon, while the visitors lost 2-1 away at Genclerbirligi.
Despite lying 6th in the Turkish Super Lig, Besiktas have had a strong start to their Champions League campaign, and currently sit atop Group G with two wins from two - beating RB Leipzig in a comfortable 2-0 win last time out.
Monaco are second in Ligue 1, behind free-spending Paris Saint-Germain (who else?), but last season's semi-finalists have had an underwhelming start in Europe's premier club competition this year, having earned just one point from their opening two fixtures.
The teams are on the field, and will kick off shortly.
And there's the half-time whistle! That half has flown by! A couple of excellent free-kicks were met by a couple of excellent saves, and Besiktas had a goal disallowed for offside before Falcao conjured up a bit of magic to open the scoring. Following Keita Balde's impressive run, the striker nutmegged his marker and poked the ball inside the far post. Besiktas didn't take long to respond though, Quaresma producing a fine near-post cross that Tosun duly converted with a thumping header. There will be question marks raised over the Monaco defending in that one, however, as Glik was left to deal with three men at the near post all on his own. The half-ends 1-1, but if the game continues in this vein, we can certainly expect more goals!
And that's it! An end-to-end contest finishes 2-1 to Besiktas courtesy of a Cenk Tosun double. His first was a thumping header to equalise after Falcao had produced a very clever opener, and his second was an opportunistic finish following Arslan's shot that rebounded off the post. They had chances to make it three, but in the end, they had to settle for a 2-1 margin of victory that makes it three wins in three Champions League group stage games for the Turkish side. Monaco, however, slump to their second successive European defeat, and are now without a win in four games in all competitions.
