And that is the last action of this match as the referee blows for full-time!
90' +3
João Cancelo is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
SWEDEN HAVE WON IT!!! CANCELO PUTS THROUGH HIS OWN NET! The Swedes have snatched victory in the dying seconds after a flowing move saw them get in behind the defence. A fierce low ball across the six-yard area hit the unwitting Cancelo, before trickling over the line and the home fans are stunned.
90' +2
Portugal launch one final wave of attack on the counter with Carvalho leading the charge. However, Johnsson does well to hold onto Gomes' deflected cross.
90' +1
The fourth official raises his board to indicate that there will be three minutes of added time at the end of this match. Can either side find a winner?...
90'
O. Hiljemark enters the game and replaces F. Helander.
Another Sweden change sees Helander make way for Oscar Hiljemark, who captained his country to glory when these two nations met in the 2015 Euro Under-21s final.
88'
Top scorer in the Greek Super League with 18 goals for Panathinaikos, despite time running out, Berg would love to make a decisive impact by scoring a late winner here.
87'
M. Berg enters the game and replaces C. Nyman.
Nyman is given a breather and replaced by Marcus Berg for the final three minutes.
Thelin has scored in each of Sweden's last two matches and he almost had a chance to make it three in a row there. However, despite springing the offside trap, he is unable to stretch and control a neat ball into the box from the left.
86'
Portugal apply the pressure as the clock ticks down with Quaresma sending a dangerous ball into the box. Nevertheless, Helander is in the right place to make a very important headed clearance with Gomes lurking.
85'
Of course, Eder forever etched his name into football folklore by scoring the winning goal in the Euro 2016 final. However, he has looked fairly subdued and isolated since his introduction at half-time today.
83'
We have a slight break in play as Eder and Helander both go to ground following a collision in the box. However, it looks like both players should be fine to continue.
Minute
Description
81'
Estadio do Maritimo has been stunned following that Sweden equaliser and it is looking like we are going to see a seventh draw in the history of this fixture.
79'
André Gomes enters the game and replaces Gelson Martins.
Martins is given a rest after an eye-catching performance which saw him play a huge part in both goals. He is replaced by Andre Gomes, who comes on for his 19th cap.
76'
V. Claesson has scored a goal for Sweden! Assist by J. Durmaz.
WE'RE ALL LEVEL!!! CLAESSON EQUALISES FOR SWEDEN! The Krasnodar midfielder grabs his second goal of the game after sneaking to the near post to meet Durmaz's corner, before beating Marafona at his near post. 2-2!
Durmaz is quick to make an impact with his corner to the near post being flicked home by Claesson.
75'
Lustig's first involvement sees him released in acres of space down the right flank. He pulls the ball back to the edge of the area for Claesson to strike, but the goalscorer is unable to double his tally after dragging it wide of the post.
72'
The Celtic defender is on for his 57th cap and is one of just three Swedish survivors from their last meeting with Portugal in November 2013, along with Sebastian Larsson and Durmaz.
70'
M. Lustig enters the game and replaces E. Krafth.
Yet another Swedish alteration sees Krafth replaced by Mikael Lustig.
67'
J. Durmaz enters the game and replaces S. Larsson.
Sweden make another change with Sam Larsson being replaced by Jimmy Durmaz, who comes on for his 40th cap.
65'
ALMOST! Quaresma neatly cushions a diagonal crossfield pass before sending in a delicious cross with the outside of his right boot. Eder is just inches away from making the vital connection with his head.
63'
Things have gone a little flat over the last few minutes in Madeira. Both sides appear to be settling back into their rhythm following that substitution.
61'
Just under 14 years on from his debut, Quaresma is on for his 64th international cap and has enjoyed a productive season at club level - registering 10 assists for Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig.
58'
Ricardo Quaresma enters the game and replaces Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's day is over as he is given a breather by Santos, who replaces him with Ricardo Quaresma.
57'
V. Claesson has scored a goal for Sweden! Assist by C. Nyman.
Nyman showed good vision to pick out Claesson.
CLAESSON HALVES THE DEFICIT!!! Sweden have started the second half well and are right back in this contest.Claesson races onto a neat through ball from Nyman, before neatly lifting it over the advancing Marafona for his second international goal.
54'
Estadio do Maritimo is full today during its first international fixture for 16 years. The recent renovation, which cost an estimated 350 million Euros, was completed in December and fans have certainly had good value for money so far.
51'
Portugal are awarded a free-kick at the other end and, although it is further out, there are no surprises as Ronaldo opts to have a crack at goal. However, his effort does not quite dip in time and Johnsson watches it over the bar.
50'
Sebastian Larsson stands over the ball on his first international appearance since Euro 2016. There is plenty of whip on his delivery but Marafona is well-positioned and able to palm it away.
48'
Good pressure from Sweden early in the second half and they are awarded a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area after Carvalho is penalised for handball. This is a good opportunity for the visitors...
46'
Éder enters the game and replaces Bernardo Silva.
William Carvalho enters the game and replaces Danilo Pereira.
Pizzi enters the game and replaces João Moutinho.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva is given a breather and replaced by Eder.
Also, Nélson Semedo comes on in place of Eliseu.
Portugal's final swap at the break sees Pizzi come on in place of Moutinho.
KICK-OFF! Mr Turpin blows his whistle and Sweden get the ball rolling once more.
45' +1
The referee blows his whistle and brings the first half to a close.
44'
It is worth noting that Ronaldo has now found the net in each of his last five appearances for Portugal - scoring 10 times overall. Should he remain on the field in the second half, you would not bet against him adding to that tally.
43'
Sweden pump the ball into the box from a free-kick inside their own half. However, Portugal deal with it and launch a quickfire counter-attack, from which Martins looks for Ronaldo but just overhits the cross.
41'
It may only be a friendly but a victory here would be Portugal's eighth on the bounce at home, where they have now scored 32 goals in that time and only conceded twice.
39'
Portugal are looking very comfortable now as the final minutes of the first half tick down. They are passing the ball around nicely and there is a real confidence about them.
36'
That was very unfortunate for the Swedish skipper, who took the armband following Ibrahimovic's retirement after Euro 2016 and has appeared in each of his country's last 20 internationals.
34'
A. Granqvist is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
OWN GOAL!!! PORTUGAL DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Martins and Ronaldo neatly combine in the area before the former's cross is diverted beyond his own goalkeeper by the outstretched Granqvist. The skipper had to go for the ball with Bernardo Silva waiting to pounce and was very unlucky to direct it into the net. 2-0 Portugal!
32'
Martins is looking very purposeful on his first start for Portugal. Manchester City and Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in the Sporting CP winger recently and you can see why as he produces some more neat touches down the right flank.
30'
The Swedes are applying good pressure on Portugal with some decent spells of possession deep inside their opponents' half. However, they need to show a lot more creativity in order to find the cutting edge.
28'
In goal is another area where Sweden are searching for a long-term replacement following the retirement of Andreas Isaksson. Robin Olsen may have started each of their opening five FIFA World Cup qualifiers since Euro 2016, but Johnsson will be eager to put his own name in contention here.
26'
CHANCE! Once again, an unmarked Ronaldo is allowed to find too much space and meet a cross into the Swedish area. However, Johnsson is able to tip over his volley from a tight angle on this occasion.
25'
In only his third start for Sweden, Nyman knows that was a great chance to stake his claim for further opportunities to fill the huge void left by the departure of Ibrahimovic. He will certainly be hoping for another one of that kind to make amends.
23'
CHANCE! Sweden look to respond quickly and really should be level in this match. A clever through ball releases Krafth down the right hand side and his cross is met by Nyman. However, the Eintracht Braunschweig forward is unable to direct it on target and the chance goes begging to break his international duck.
20'
It seems that every Ronaldo goal is a milestone nowadays. On his 138th cap, Portugal goal number 71 means that Ronaldo is now the 11th-highest scorer in international history and joint-third on the European list.
18'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Portugal! Assist by Gelson Martins.
Martins provided a delicious assist with the outside of his right foot that was begging to be tucked away.
WHO ELSE?!!! RONALDO VOLLEYS PORTUGAL INTO THE LEAD! The Madeira man is able to drift into the six-yard box to meet Martins' clever cross, before neatly guiding past the helpless Johnsson. 1-0 Portugal!
17'
Sweden enjoy a decent spell deep inside the Portugal half and work the ball into the box on a couple of occasions. However, the hosts remain stubborn and are able to snuff out the danger.
14'
The head-to-head record may be shared by Portugal with six wins to Sweden's five, but you have to go back to November 1984 for the last time that the Blagult tasted victory over the Selecao.
12'
That will have settled Marafona on his international debut. The Braga keeper has been an unused substitute on seven occasions, but now has his opportunity to prove his worth to manager Fernando Santos.
10'
Claesson is involved again for the visitors with another positive run forward. The Krasnodar man gets a shot away, but it is lacking any real power and Marafona gratefully gathers.
9'
Claesson asks questions of the Portuguese defence with a strong run into the box. He then squares the ball across the area for Sam Larsson to strike, but the Heerenveen winger sends his effort high over the bar.
7'
Ronaldo is on the brink of more history today. Following his brace against Hungary on Saturday, only Miroslav Klose, Sandor Kocsis and Ferenc Puskas have scored more times for a European country at international level. He will equal Klose should he find the net here.
6'
The home crowd roar with anticipation as Ronaldo is involved for the first time on his return to Madeira - the place of his birth. He is crowded out before the ball breaks to Sanches, whose shot from outside the area is high and wide of the target.
4'
At the other end, Nyman looks to latch onto a neat through ball. However, Alves is quickly across to make an important intervention.
2'
Portugal go straight onto the attack and a dangerous ball into the box is well dealt with by Helander, who makes a vital clearance. The Bologna centre-half is making his full international debut today and that will have settled him down.
1'
KICK-OFF! Clement Turpin of France is our referee today and, following the national anthems, he blows his whistle for Portugal to get the match underway.
Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE text coverage of what promises to be a mouth-watering international friendly between Portugal and Sweden. It's good to have your company!
Estadio do Maritimo is our venue today and it is the first time an international fixture has been held here since March 2001, when Portugal ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Andorra.
The last meeting between the nations came during that memorable Play-Off for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, with Cristiano Ronaldo facing off against Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ronaldo came out on top - scoring all four of Portugal's goals in a 4-2 aggregate victory - and, if history is anything to go by, we should be in for another treat today.
There is somewhat of a contrast in fortunes between the two countries at the moment. Portugal are still riding the crest of a wave following last July's victory at Euro 2016, while Sweden are currently in a transitional period after the retirement of several key players including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andreas Isaksson and Kim Kallstrom.
HERE THEY COME! The teams are making their way out onto the field and kick-off is just moments away...
PORTUGAL (4-3-3): Marafona; Joao Cancelo, Alves, Neto, Eliseu; Moutinho, Danilo, Sanches; Martins, Ronaldo (c), B. Silva.
SWEDEN (4-4-2): Johnsson; Krafth, Helander, Granqvist (c), Hult; Claesson, Sebastian Larsson, Johansson, Sam Larsson; Nyman, Thelin.
PORTUGAL SUBS: Patricio, Mario, Fonte, Guerreiro, Semedo, A. Silva, W. Carvalho, Cedric, Quaresma, Pepe, Pizzi, Eder, Gomes, Varela.
The hosts are looking very comfortable in Madeira at the break. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring with his 71st international goal in the 18th minute, before Andreas Granqvist put through his own net 16 minutes later.
The teams are making their way back out onto the field and the second half is imminent.
FULL-TIME: PORTUGAL 2-3 SWEDEN
Portugal's seven-match winning run at home is over after they are defeated by Sweden for the first time since November 1984. It was a real game of two halves at Estadio do Maritimo, where Cristiano Ronaldo gave Portugal the lead before an Andreas Granqvist own-goal made it 2-0 at the break. However, the Swedes responded with an unlikely double from Viktor Claesson before Joao Cancelo's own-goal in the dying seconds gave them a dramatic victory.
That's all for today! Thank you for following our LIVE text coverage of this international friendly - hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, see you soon!
