We're underway in Basel.
Portugal return to competitive action for the first time since their triumph in the final of Euro 2016. Fernando Santos' men will have to put their glorious night in the Stade de France to the back of their minds as they turn their attention towards reaching the World Cup.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the World Cup qualifying clash between Switzerland and Portugal.
Switzerland also return to action for the first time since their exit in the knockout stage of Euro 2016. Portugal subs: Pereira, Andre Andre, Eliseu, Rafa, Marafona, Joao Mario, Bruno Alves, Neto, Andre Silva, Eduardo, Cancelo, Quaresma.

Santos is also without Renato Sanches as he recovers from a thigh injury, leaving Joao Moutinho, William Carvalho and Adrien Silva to occupy the midfielder.
Switzerland are almost unchanged from their last outing in the Euros in June, with Xherdan Shaqiri missing through injury. Talented youngster Breel Embolo takes his place as part of an attacking trio supporting Haris Seferovic, who leads the line.
The players are out on the pitch and the anthems are underway, so the action should begin shortly.
HALF-TIME: SWITZERLAND 2-0 PORTUGAL
Switzerland take a 2-0 lead over Portugal into the break thanks to goals from Breel-Donald Embolo and Admir Mehmedi. The European champions have been far from their best in both boxes, neither threatening Yann Sommer's goal or protecting their own. Fernando Santos will not be pleased by his side's efforts, and may be forced into changes at the interval.
Vladimir Petkovic will be delighted with the clinical edge his side have shown in front of goal. They've not been brilliant in the contest, but have be a threat on the counter and have taken the two clear-cut opportunities that have come their way.
